What do you like best about Jira?

Jira's project management tools are amazing. Their entire UI is very easy to use and visually appealing. They support both, Kanban and SCRUM boards which is a big win as some projects require one while others require the other. It's very easy to setup and implement into your workflow. What's even better is the easy integration with other Atlassian services like Confluence! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Jira?

Even though the UI is simplistic, it just offers too much functionality which might be overwhelming for first time users. This means that we have to take time to explain to the new hires on how everything works. It would be better if they had a minimalistic UI depending on our use-case. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Jira solving and how is that benefiting you?

Project management is very vital for us. We use Jira boards to do the same. We initially list down tasks and divide them into different categories. Then we can delegate the tasks to the respective personnel who can update them based on their progress. This gives us a general insight on the current state of the project. And if we do encounter any bugs when testing, we can also log them in Jira so that the respective personnel can fix it as soon as possible.

We also create multiple boards for the different projects and give different people different roles depending on the project's team setup. This is amazing as each board can have a different team. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Jira?

What I like most is that you can see everything in one place. Creating tasks, tracking them, and figuring out who’s responsible for what is super easy. The Kanban and sprint boards are especially great—everything is so visual. And those automated workflows? They save a ton of time. Overall, it’s a very powerful tool with so many features. In addition, I would like to note that the G2 platform, which I mentioned in my previous review, Qase io is integrated into the Jira platform and this plays a very important role in our company. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Jira?

The main issue is that it’s too complex. At first, there are so many features that it’s overwhelming. You spend a lot of time just trying to figure things out. Also, the speed can be frustrating—pages take forever to load sometimes. And let’s not even talk about some integrations or setups; without IT support, it’s hard to manage. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Jira solving and how is that benefiting you?

We work on complex government projects, and without Jira, keeping track of all the moving pieces would be a nightmare. It helps us organize tasks, track progress, and make sure deadlines aren’t missed. For example, we can easily assign tasks to team members and monitor their status on the board. It’s also great for managing bugs—everything is documented properly, so nothing slips through the cracks. Overall, it’s made our team more efficient and reduced the chaos in managing large-scale projects Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Managing notification settings is very tricky.

While JIRA offers basic reporting features, more advanced or custom reports often require plugins or additional configuration. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Jira?

It is easy to build tickets, add release, epics and create sub-task, task, bug, stories on jira.

User can track the issues using epic or releases.

Maintaining backlog is also easy there.

Very less downtime for new updates.

It is easy to login into jira and we can provide access according to the role.

I use jira for daily basis to track and log my work, which is too easy to be done.

Customer support is good in case of any blockers.

Implementing new project board and adding new members to the project is easy on jira, we just have to create a project and assign ticket to the member.

I like emojis they add in the restropective. Its fun to add emoions there. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Jira?

It is hard to track the closed stories or tickets on jirs. Either we have to remember the ticket number or else it will take a lot of time to find the older tickets, in case we have to check any information on that.

Sometime downtime take a day too.

Jira provide some set of specific options like for priorities, boards options etc., which are not customizable. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Jira solving and how is that benefiting you?

It help our team to track our projects.

We work and planned our sprints on jira

We restropect our team using jira.

Backlog and project planning is done on jira.

Senior management people keep track on the project through jira. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Jira?

We use Jira tool to manage our sprint board as we work on Agile. We do use JIRA integrated with Test Rail to have the test cases linked to the particular jira. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Jira?

The only drawback we are facing is the workflow process. We would like to have admin access to setup the workflow as per our requirement. For example, when we create a jira, the default status is getting created in backlog but we would like to have that created in New status so it will show up on our kanban board. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Jira solving and how is that benefiting you?

The major implementation we did was integrating jira with our testing tool (test rail) and also with slack. By doing this we are getting notified when the new jira stories are created and we are getting notified in our slack channels. This is a great achievement so that the team is working collaboratively and getting notifications directly from slack on the updates. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Jira?

In my office we use jira for task management and time management, which helps us for team projects with multiple moving parts. The task and subtask part had made things very easy to track and also the recent UI improvements are really helpful. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Jira?

Even though the Ui is updated recently still some features feel buried requiring too many numbers of clicks for simple function. It's also a bit tricky to customise. It would be great if jira streamlined some of these elements to improve the usability and speed up everyday task. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Jira solving and how is that benefiting you?

Jira solved problem of disorgnised projects, jira is a structural tool which helps me to stick to my timelines and have effective communication. Jira streamlines workflows by which whole team can track the project real-time and ensure accountability as well.

The benefit comes from it's ability to keep everyone on the same page, making complex projects easily manageable. For me, Jira's impact is most visible in how it helps create the sub tasks or actionable tasks, which reduces the feeling of being overwhelmed. this makes it easier to maintain clarity, track progress and adapt to changes quickly. It ultimately boosts productivity by allowing me to focus on specific tasks while having the confidence that the overall project is being monitored and coordinated efficiently. What do you like best about Jira?

I use Jira daily in my current role. Jira software provides a centralized solution for product lifecycle management, agile development including Kanban or Scrum frameworks. It integrates with a wide variety of other development tools such as GitHub and Confluence. The product has robust data reporting and analytics for high level performance tracking and workload management. The product is intuitive, easy to use, and is flexible enough for customized and tailored workflows. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Jira?

Some areas where Jira may be able to make improvements include more on-boarding material/training for quicker on-boarding of new users. The software can struggle to handle very large data sets at times, which can lead to slower load times... Their mobile solution is good but it could be enchanced to match more closely with the desktop version, which has some more capabilities than the mobile version. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Jira solving and how is that benefiting you?

As a Product/Project Manager juggling multiple projects at a given time, JIRA alleviates any issues around staying organized and up to date on project statuses and progress. I can use JIRA from start to finish through a project lifecycle. I can maintain my own personal board in the early stages of product development/ideation - helping me to stay organized and prioritze what comes next. It also allows other stake holders to view statuses without aksing me to provide them, which saves significant time. Our Development Team can pick up my project tickets and I can see thier progress from start to finish. I can also communicate with project teams and developers right within the Jira tickets, which allows for quick communication and record keeping. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It also allows me to provide suggestions in case the team is facing any difficulties. I can create workflows and there is a lot of flexibility in the escalation process and bug tracking.

What do you like best about Jira?

Jira is second to none when it comes to adaptability to a great variety of different workflows and really extensive features of customization. Strong integrations further facilitate collaboration and automation of tasks, while clear visualization with Kanban and Scrum boards brings transparency to decision-making. Besides, Jira has been designed in such a way that it will scale well with the growth of your team. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Jira?

Jira is a steep learning curve unto itself, and its feature set may overwhelm a new user right away. Advanced configurations of most the customizations are really challenging to perform and usually require technical expertise. Also, the costs for using Jira, especially in great teams or enterprises, might be high and therefore be considered as part of the return on investment. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Jira solving and how is that benefiting you?

Jira solves one of the main problems: centralizing information for case tracking and work organization. This will help us have one single point of access for all relevant information, smoothing communication and collaboration with teams. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
