1. Works best for Scrum or Kanban work models.
2. Flexibility to change workflows as per teams process
3. Easily integrated to confluence, github & other tools- we use confluence, github, ticket trackers that can easily be linked to Jira Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
1. Easy for IT teams but may be not great for non technical users to find it more complex.
2. Most common issue that we face in our project is the control of some setups requiring admin expertise to manage- which makes it bit complex, time consuming for the projects to manage or customize themselves
3. Quite expensive for small scale usgae or companies Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It is very organized and straight forward. It is also very secure, so it is great to use it. I have worked in 2 companies with Jira and I liked how easy it integrates with multiple platforms. I used it with intercom, and now I use it daily with Slack, and both are great!
I have had issues when my last company was adding me and the customer support team solved the issue in less than 48 hours. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
At first sight the implementation might seem difficult since there are many boxes to fill and with not common names, as long as you keep using it, you can learn which fields are useful, required or needed depending on your request. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Jira has been an incredibly reliable tool for tracking features, enhancements, and defects across various projects—even those from several years ago. Its ability to maintain a detailed history of tickets and updates makes it easy to revisit past work and reference older implementations whenever needed. The interface is intuitive, and the defect and ticket management features are well-organized, making it an essential tool in my day-to-day IT work. Jira has significantly simplified project tracking and team collaboration, and I genuinely feel it has made many aspects of my IT life easier. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
One small drawback I’ve noticed is that when copying the summary of a ticket along with its ID, the last character of the summary sometimes gets cut off when pasting. While not a major issue, it can be slightly frustrating when sharing ticket references in chats or documentation Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Jira's project management tools are amazing. Their entire UI is very easy to use and visually appealing. They support both, Kanban and SCRUM boards which is a big win as some projects require one while others require the other. It's very easy to setup and implement into your workflow. What's even better is the easy integration with other Atlassian services like Confluence! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Even though the UI is simplistic, it just offers too much functionality which might be overwhelming for first time users. This means that we have to take time to explain to the new hires on how everything works. It would be better if they had a minimalistic UI depending on our use-case. Jira is a solid choice, especially for dev teams. It’s super flexible and can match any workflow, plus it plays well with other tools like Confluence, Slack, and Bitbucket. The built-in agile features, like burndown charts and sprint tracking, really help teams stay on track and improve over time. It's definitely a game-changer for keeping everything organized and efficient! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Jira’s got tons of features, but it can be a bit overwhelming at first. The interface isn't always the most intuitive, so there’s a bit of a learning curve. If you’re trying to customize workflows or manage permissions without an admin on hand, it can get tricky. And for big projects with a lot of customizations, it can slow down a bit, which definitely isn’t ideal when you need things to run smoothly and fast. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
What I like most is that you can see everything in one place. Creating tasks, tracking them, and figuring out who’s responsible for what is super easy. The Kanban and sprint boards are especially great—everything is so visual. And those automated workflows? They save a ton of time. Overall, it’s a very powerful tool with so many features. In addition, I would like to note that the G2 platform, which I mentioned in my previous review, Qase io is integrated into the Jira platform and this plays a very important role in our company. The main issue is that it’s too complex. At first, there are so many features that it’s overwhelming. You spend a lot of time just trying to figure things out. Also, the speed can be frustrating—pages take forever to load sometimes. And let’s not even talk about some integrations or setups; without IT support, it’s hard to manage. Love the ease of use, ability to adjust the layout of your dashboard, each individual can have their own dashboard, reporting is a breeze, most importantly, it is a breeze to keep up with where you are and what you are doing and to keep track of your tickets if you have to send them to another department as you can make comments back and forth directly on the ticket and each comment triggers and email so you will never miss a reply. A slight learning curve at the very beginning but after you have your dashboard set up the way you want it, I have no dislikes about the system. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It is hard to track the closed stories or tickets on jirs. Either we have to remember the ticket number or else it will take a lot of time to find the older tickets, in case we have to check any information on that.
Sometime downtime take a day too.
Jira provide some set of specific options like for priorities, boards options etc., which are not customizable. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
