Intellum delivers excellent products like Exceed and Evolve but where the company truly excels is in offering a fantastic partnership through their CSMs and support channels. The UX for admins and end-users is clean, modern, and intuitive given that you get over the initial learning curve. We have been leveraging these products to deploy a number of educational programs, ranging from various e-learning modalities to virtual conferences. The platform has evolved a lot in the last two years and continues to grow through the opportunities and challenges provided by the times. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The lack of learner dashboards, limited custom fields, and some basic UI quirks can be bothersome but nothing that can't be fixed in the future releases except maybe the dashboard part. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Intellum is a wonderful LMS for all organizations big or small; it can be as simple or complex as needed to fit your company's needs. My favorite features are granular permissions, letters/letter triggers, and customizable topics. I also appreciate that you pull pretty much any kind of report you need. They are constantly adding new functionality (e.g., AI) and making improvements. The Client Experience portal helps get users up-to-speed with the platform. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The biggest downside is the limited number of custom fields. I would also like the ability to filter a user's enrollments (not just Complete/Incomplete). The system can be difficult to fully understand for someone who is new to managing systems (but this does also come with the upside of flexibility. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Having been on Intellum for a few years, we've slowly grown our content library with the inclusion of more teams across the business who are trying to scale their learning efforts and grow beyond the basic lunch and learns or powerpoint documents. The best parts of Intellum remain their support, ease of administration, and ability to seemlessly host different types of learning content. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
More intuitive search capabilities for Learners, similar to the Search capabilities on the back-end for Admins, and more up-to-date and better structured help resources for new and existing admins. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Intellum assigns a customer account rep for each business and that person dives deep into your business and really learns how you use their platform so can easily make suggestions of best practices and address any questions or concerns. The platform itself is very easy to use which is a big plus for a team of content writers that were not necessarily trained in authoring and are learning as we go. The simplicity of the platform can sometimes also be a negative in that the template is the template - there are not a lot of options for layout and look/feel inside an activity. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The Intellum Platform provides a simple and clean way to organize and present training. For quick implementation of a basic learning platform this fully fits the bill.
The customer support team is very friendly and helpful and very patient with our team as we continue to learn about the platform.
There are a good number of options for types of training that can be supported adn the assessment capabilities are also quite nice and easy to implement. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There are some limitations in the platform such as not being able to schedule retirement/sunset of content that have caused us to create manual workarounds to compensate for.
The help articles are also a bit lacking - they are good introductions to basic features but leave a lot of information out for more technical help. For instance, an article on setting up the Credly integration under the gamification menu never identified what happens if the activity/path is made inactive, or if the gamification is turned off - two different actions from the platform that cost us replacement of 12,000 badges.
Changes to how things display or operate in the platform are sometimes rolled out without notice adn sometimes without sufficient explanation so it feels like no notice. We recently found some pages displaying incorrectly and we could not explain why they were not showing correctly. When we contacted the support team we were informed that a change in the platform had been rolled out that was not identified in a the newsletter and our team had to modify some code in the platform to return the view to what was needed. I love a few things about Evolve:
- You are able and it is very easy to tag courses
- You are able to title the courses in the back end and have a different title for learners to see
- I love the simple it is to implement language versions through the import/export feature and how the language versions are kept together under one course
- The customer support I receive is very quick to respond, solution oriented and is able to provide screenshots for clarity and think along to provide alternative solutions if there is no clear one.
- I love how you are able to 100% customize the courses we build from the theme, but also the individual components and the settings provided
- I love the assets library on Evolve, it allows us to reuse assets with ease and we can tag them accordingly. And how easy it is to update these assets! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I would love for Evolve to have the following:
- Direct content editing similar to Rise; my colleagues like this in Rise a lot because it is easy to make the changes instead of going through the back-end/on the side.
- The possibility to send out viewing links without having to make new user accounts for viewers to see the work in progress.
- The possibility to add folders to the assets library so we are able to organise(?) although the filters and possibility to tag is already amazing at finding assets we need.
- Possibly an integration with Shutterstock? Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Ease of integration and implementation, working with the Intellum team, visionary leadership and forward looking roadmap. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
User friction with findability and lack of personalization. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The Intellum Platform is very easy to use and implement, yet it can handle a wide range of use cases. Thanks to the comprehensive API, any feature that may not already exist on the platform is easily developed. Its wide range of connectors help integrating with all of our tenants and IT services.
The SaaS is robust and scalable and we never experienced any impacting downtime or issue while having thousands of customers using the platform every day.
Intellum as a company pays close attention to customer feedback and project success. The teams also play a huge role in our experience: our Sales and CSM are mindful and extremely helpful, the project team is proactive and professional, and the support team is both reactive and very efficient. The development lifecycle (staging/QA/production) is still maturing, not very useful for now. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I love the Evolve integration with Intellum. It makes creating and maintaining our content so much easier! Some features I appreciate the most include automatic syncing from Evolve to Intellum, user group restrictions that help us customize content to specific target audiences, and reporting capabilities.
I've always had speedy and helpful responses from Support and appreciate their knowledge and expertise. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I absolutely love all the reporting options, however, it would be nice if I could create a custom dashboard to present simple data pulled from certain reports. For example, we are using Asana now and I love having at-a-glance numbers to reflect the number of tasks completed. Some data I'd love to quickly pull in a dashboard would be: active user count, number of in progress and passed enrollments, and something to help us track content published in a certain time-period. Our Polar Cloud Academy has been very well received by large and small school districts alike. Whether it's gamification for the students, or exciting certifications/badges to help onboard new teachers, Intellum's offering helps us close more business and provide a better, more professional solution to our customers.
Intellum's simple editor keeps our content looking modern and easy to consume. The "Learning Path" style flows make intuitive sense to our customers, and it's easy for them to see where they've left off, or jump in right where they need the most help. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
No complaints about this platform, been using for a year. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
