Our eCommerce platform uses P360 to build and maintain hundreds of "micro stores" for our customers. P360 is able to handle multiple distinct shops with separate inventory and allow us to provide a curated experience for our customers. When we were sourcing product information management systems, Informatica's PIMS seemed to have the most robust handling of multiple product structures for distinct customers. The platform is both expensive and incredibly complicated and I've never felt like Informatica was very invested in our success with it. We received a little bit of training from the company (and our trainers were nice enough) but it was always us asking questions and pushing for answers and never them following up and coaching us. I understand we're not their biggest account, but it's left a bad taste in my mouth because the program is not designed to be user friendly or easy to parse visually. It takes us months to train new people on it and when we have questions, it takes a long time to get responses from Informatica. It also felt like many features that should be basic required additional fees for programming/activation. The strength of P360 is maintaining many multiple catalogs that share products, but being able to change a "master" product and have that automagically cascade to all the hundreds of stores required additional programming from Informatica at a high cost. Also, in a world of multiple product pictures and videos, P360 seems to offer limit support for more than one piece of media. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Allows you to implement detailed business rules to apply to your data.
Works well with any ETL tool, but especially well with Informatica PowerCenter Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Mapping within the tool can be difficult. But that is slated for upgrade with the next version.
Many detailed screens for the developer interface. This makes it hard to find options sometimes. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Ability to import & integrate the IDQ Rules. With data quality component integrate within PIM its easier to runt he rules created in IDQ and basexd on the rules definition we can check the data quality and we can export it to web shops. There are different channels that we can ctreate and each channels (Web shops, e-procurement, prinnt publishin etc..) can have different data quality validation checks. Also all rules can be executed at the same time. Provides some default data quality rules that you can instantly use it such as (check_datatype, check_maxlength, check_minlength etc...)
