What do you like best about FusionReactor APM?

We use FR on a daily basis to either assist in troubleshooting or just general performance monitoring.

Installation and integration with Coldfusion servers is straightforward and easy to automate (we use ansible).

Customer support is stellar. Hands on, without too much bureaucracy and back and forth with the support team, with quick turnaround times.

We recently moved to the Cloud + AI platform and it has more features than we know to use. We're still in the process of learning the ropes, but it provides with a more holistic view of our infrastructure compared to our old on-prem deployments. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about FusionReactor APM?

Nothing comes to mind immediately in terms of dislikes.

I would say that sometimes a setting is in a different place than what you would think.

There are various settings menus per function that may get confusing at times. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is FusionReactor APM solving and how is that benefiting you?

The primary use we have for it is that it's allowing us to track down bad performing parts of our applications and identify areas of improvement either in code, resources or configurations.

The breakdown it offers on requests, along with profiling, provide us with insights to improve and debug our applications. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I'm able to get specific details on what went wrong AND what's going right. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about FusionReactor APM?

I wish the cloud version didn't truncate queries. I still use the server-based version for that level of detail. The Cloud version provides a great broader view however and provides a lot of valuable metric detail. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about FusionReactor APM?

We are running ColdFusion application in a containerized cloud-environment. Containers are sometimes short-living. FR Cloud is the place, where we find diagnostic data and insights into failures.

What we like most, is the ability to dive deep into the request and even see the template and line number of a CFML file, where the issue occured.

Apart from that, FR helps us to "right-size" our infrastructure components and monitor the effects of our modifications.

The installation is quite easy and configuration with config files goes straight forward.

We are able to give access to our customer's IT, so that they can monitor independently on a daily basis, without the need of having dedicated access into our SaaS setup. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about FusionReactor APM?

nothing ;-)

one thing to improve: documentation of the config file. We were configuring via the Admin UI on a local instance and then took the config file for our Docker deployment. But with a full documentation, that step would become easier.

an idea for improvement: if we could integrate FR with AWS XRay, as we are using an event-driven architecture - this would give us a perfect insight into our system behaviour. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is FusionReactor APM solving and how is that benefiting you?

- indicate bugs, even if users are not reporting them

- monitor the application's performance

- review the effects of infrastructure right-sizing Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

When we get reports of slow website responses, this is the first place I go. Checking the main dashboard and then to transactions. I can see things running slow, identify bottlenecks, and get them resolved quickly using FusionReactor. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about FusionReactor APM?

We have been a ColdFusion development shop (small business web/saas) for better than a quarter century. In that time we have learned a great deal about what makes our apps work and how to troubleshoot them pretty quickly. Or so we thought. Over the past two years, we have gone through some significant infrastructure updates and upgrades, and along with these came some new CMFL challenges. After much digging around the internet and chatting with trusted resources someone asked what our FusionReactor APM was showing concerning the problem we were troubleshooting. Well, we didn't have an FR setup, so we opted to do the trial, and sure enough, this helped to highlight not just the issue we were actively trying to fix, but several others that were just under the surface. Identifying those, probably saved us several more hours of hunting for a fix.

Long story short, for any CFML server we set up we are sure to enroll it before it goes live. This has helped us to continue to provide the level of service that our clients have come to expect and even more so demand. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about FusionReactor APM?

I just wish that the newer versions could be installed on older Java versions. I know it sounds silly, but we are currently stuck with some older CF services, and while the on-prem is super helpful, the consolidated view of the cloud service would be better. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is FusionReactor APM solving and how is that benefiting you?

FusionReactor is helping to cast light into the dark spaces of our application and show us potential problems before they become big issues. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about FusionReactor APM?

The strongest elements of FR are its telemetry insights and live debugging features, which can be used with a small footprint in a production environment. It's extremely simple to install and integrate into any IDE. It's essential in everyday operations of our enterprise environment. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about FusionReactor APM?

None that I can think of. The support is extremely receptive to feeback and tend to implement fixes and make imrovements regularly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is FusionReactor APM solving and how is that benefiting you?

It especially helps to gain introspection into what is happening in real-time when troubleshooting production issues. This is especially helpful when trying to fix problems with legacy apps for some of our clients in which the production data can't be replicated in a staging environment. What do you like best about FusionReactor APM?

Without doubt, the on-premises memory analysis features, are first class. Memory leaks are extremely hard to track down without a tool like FusionReactor.

Plus the memory footprint of FusionReactor is very low. It uses less than 100MB RAM on a Windows 2019 server. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about FusionReactor APM?

I think the Cloud version of FusionReactor lacks the memory features of the on-premises version. This is disappointing. I also think the GUI of the on-premises version is clearer and less overcrowded. The default night mode of the Cloud version, makes it hard to see things clearly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is FusionReactor APM solving and how is that benefiting you?

I find that FusionReactor's WebRequest history is brilliant for finding IP addresses of Bots & Spiders that are hitting URLs, too frequently and hogging bandwidth. Then using nslookup, it is possible to set IP address blocking in Windows Firewall. This has really improved the performance of my web & application server. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
