What do you like best about UniFi?

How easy it is to get started, implementation, but at the same time manage multiple sites/locations.

It's easy to integrate with other systems and the amount of features makes it an easy choice in the SMB market.

Still haven't had a need for customer support so can't give any comments about that. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about UniFi?

Availability, there's not enough gear being produced. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is UniFi solving and how is that benefiting you?

it helps me with the SMB market that's not in the price range of enterprise gear, but needs better than gear for home market. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Description

UniFi is a complete Accounting and Finance automation platform. With unlimited potential across finance and all connected departments. UniFi was born from FinanSys’
5+ years of experience implementing accounting and business management systems. In
008, we realised that our clients needed an excessive number of third-party systems and apps, and thus, we started designing UniFi —the one platform to replace them all. In
0
1, UniFi was launched to our existing clientele with strong feedback on its extensive capabilities. It was then opened to the public in
0
3, at which point it had over 15,000 users from over 100 organisations. UniFi’s unique selling point is that it contains all features for one price and has limitless use cases. It enables users to automate business processes, unify data for a single source of truth, and vastly improve their business intelligence. ‘UniFi’ is a play on the word ‘Unify’, given what the platform can do. Unify comes from the early 16th century: from French “unifier” or late Latin “unificare” which means ‘make into a whole’. UniFi accurately depicts what the platform can do: it unifies your company's departments and operations and makes all your data into a whole (single source of truth).

What do you like best about UniFi?

Unifi by Ubiquiti is the one that has significantly changed my home networking setup for the better. I now don’t have any Wi-Fi dead zones in my house and I can get full connectivity in the basement if working from there or when I am watching movies in the attic. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about UniFi?

UniFi can be a very hit and miss affair, especially if you live in a heavily-populated area with high amounts of wireless traffic. I had to spend quite some time, fine-tuning the television and eradicating all kinds of signal disruptions, to finally get the ideal channels. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is UniFi solving and how is that benefiting you?

In my opinion, UniFi shines because it allows you to build a solid and fully scalable home network. I have multiple access points along with a central controller, and therefore, I am able to control everything about my Wi-Fi, from bandwidth allocation for devices to configuration of guest networks. What do you like best about UniFi?

One of the things I lie best about UniFi is its centralized management interface. Being able to oversee and configure all our networking devices from one place has greatly simplifies our network management tasks. And the scalability of UniFi is appreciated. Whether we need to expand our WI-Fi coverage or add more switches to our network, UniFi allows us to easily scale up our infrastructure without major disruptions. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about UniFi?

I wish UniFi offered more advanced networking features out of the box. While its a powrful platform, some features require additional configuration or the use of third party plugins, which can add complexity. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is UniFi solving and how is that benefiting you?

UniFi's guest portal customization features allow clients to create braned portals for guests accessing their network. This customization is really helpful. Unifi provides a centralized management interface that simplifies the setup process for new networking devices . This reduces the ime and effort required to onboard new clients to the network. What do you like best about UniFi?

I like how everything is centrally managed as well as the organization of the menu buttons. Ease of onboarding devices was essential to us continueing to purchase more Ubiquiti devices. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about UniFi?

I have had some delays in dealing with technical support with Ubiquiti, but that is the trade off for the price savings and ease-of-use of their products, I would assume. In my experience a ticket I opened took a few days for a response and by that time we had figured out the solution ourselves. This was related to their 16 port PoE switches. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is UniFi solving and how is that benefiting you?

It helps to manage our wireless point-to-point devices (AF60 models) in one dashboard. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
