I'm loving Fathom- it has completely changed how I work, and I can't imagine working without it now. I work as a fundraising coach, helping NFP's to build funding strategy. All of my work is online, and fathom has been wonderful for taking notes through our coaching calls. I've found the system to be really accurate, instinctive to use, and packed full of great features that really work. The support behind the scenes is awesome as well- a couple of times when I have inadvertently kicked Fathom out of the recording, support have followed my up to check if all is ok!
As an online coach, I love the functionality of seeing who has spoken the most in the call- a great way of reminding me to encourage the quieter ones to contribute. As a team, we use Fathom as an online resource so that we can view each other's coaching calls as well- hugely helpful for training purposes. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There is very little not to like! - Even the free version is packed full of useful features. The only thing I can think of is that you need to remember you are being recorded- we had our settings configured in a way that automatically send the notes to everyone on the call. It's worth keeping in mind that everything you say in the meeting might get shared in the summary!
I've also come across a couple of clients who are a little wary of an AI recording being made- (i.e. not having full trust in how the recording is going to be used / stored) but I'm sure as AI becomes more widespread, that will cease to be an issue. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Fathom helps me make the absolute most out of my meetings. Fathom was easy to set up, and it flawlessly syncs to my Google Calendar while making it simple to pick and choose which meetings will include the AI recorder. The summaries are easily digestible– I especially enjoy that it's broken up into different sections (key takeaways, themes, and next steps). It's great how the written summaries also sync to the recording, making it easy to go back and reference the exact point in a meeting where something was said. I use fathom to record customer interviews, and it's been a game changer for identifying key pain points and themes to help me prioritize opportunities and next steps. I once accidentally sent the meeting summary to all meeting participants when I didn't mean to. I wished there was a double confirmation or an undo function for the "send recording" button, because I didn't realize that it would send right away without asking me if I wanted to customize who to send the recording to. As a financial planner, I was looking for a notetaker that would be reliable, accurate and would allow me to be fully present during the meetings. And since I am just starting, price was an important consideration. Another requirement that I had was that the notetaker needed to understand mixed languages - I talk in a mixture of Russian and English to some of my clients. Fathom definitely delivered on all the fronts! While Zoom Notetaker had a lot of problems with the Russian part, Fathom shined in creating accurate notes.
I also considered Jump, which is specifically marketed for financial advisors but found it to be glitchy and was not successful using it during the trial. Additionally, the price point of the Jump was a bit of a turn off for me.
Finally, I was pleasantly surprised when after trying to launch Fathom during one of the webinars and not succeeding, I received an email from them explaining the reason: it is a feature not yet available and hopefully will become available in the future. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There is really nothing to dislike about Fathom but one thing I wish was addressed a little better and that would be compliance and privacy. There is a section on Fathom website about security and privacy but I wished there was something specific for financial planners, talking about compliance and data protection. I was a paid user of Read.ai when I tried Fathom and immediately switched over once I received my first meeting report. The quality of the notes, the way things are structured, the accuracy of the action items -- I couldn't fault it. I'm genuinely saving hours each week that I used to spend manually writing out meeting notes. Plus I find it very intuitive to use and really appreciate the way the desktop app is built making it far easier to add it to impromptu meetings than other similar softwares I've tried. I don't love the look of the recording/notes page and would love it were a bit more customizable. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I like how much more concise the summary is compared to another noteaker we switched from as well as having access to the full video recording of the meeting even on the free account. Fathom has improved our productivity by keeping our meetings on track from previous week's recaps as well as assigning to do's out internally and externally is a lot easier. I like that Fathom integrates with all of our meeting platforms like Zoom and Teams. 10/10 would recommend! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
We are currently still on the free version but will be upgrading in the near future. When on free, multiple notetakers from the same domain want to join the same meeting. I believe if everyone was on the same paid account, you can limit which notetaker is admitted to the same meeting, but under the free version sometimes this can be a little cumbersome. It would be great if regardless of what domain has a Fathom notetaker that so long as at least one is present, all others would not be present since everyone gets a copy of a meeting anyway. I love that it records the video of my calls and organizes them by day, showing the title of the meeting for easy reference later. The transcription is pretty good, and I love that it is searchable and that you can jump the video to the corresponding part of the transcript. I love the summary tab with key takeaways. They're usually pretty accurate and they save me a lot of time. I love that it adds to (almost) all of my calls so I can focus on the call without worrying about it recording. Downloading it, getting it started on my computer, and getting it going to be included on all of my calls was a pain. It actually malfunctioned when I started a call the other week, and I had to figure out how to add it to my call again, so that was a bit embarrassing. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What I like best is the fact that I can now really concentrate on what is being said rather than trying to capture notes at the same time.
Having had Fathom join me in a few calls now, the confidence is there to stop jotting things down and just wait for the summary email to come through (which it does very quickly) with all the details, including parts you've highlighted.
So much easier than trying to decipher my scribble, or correct all the spelling mistakes, especially if you go from meeting to meeting and can't summarise and do your follows up there and then, as when you go back later you may not recall fully what you needed to do or what was said...that is now a thing of the past with Fathom by your side.
On my first use, Fathom asked for a review, which I gave, highlighting a language issue - They responded with full instructions on what I needed to do. I followed the steps and was able to set my account correctly to allow multi language options and translations, which makes my life a whole lot easier! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
So far, I haven't come across any negatives. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Fathom has been a game-changer for me. The summary email sent immediately after each meeting is incredibly accurate, and having instant access to the recording helps me stay on top of everything. The platform is effortless to use—the setup was quick and seamless, and the engagement from the Fathom team has been a pleasure. I now use it for nearly all my meetings without fail.
As someone who isn’t particularly tech-savvy, I was surprised by how easily I integrated Fathom into my daily workflow. It has made me significantly more efficient and organized, giving me a much better handle on all my tasks. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Perhaps consider a downloadable word link for a summary of meeting notes/minutes. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Fathom has been an incredible tool to help me make salesforce notes, meeting summaries, and general meeting notes. Previously for my sales meetings, I would record my teams meeting then take the transcript and video. then add them to ChatGPT and ask it to create a meeting summary using MEDDPICC sales methodology. Well Fatham just records the meetings and does it for me! It saves me steps and cost less. Additionally, thus far Ive had to make very few edits following the meetings vs. chatgpt giving less specific responses.
I also love how I can change sales methodologies to have the notes reinterpreted for my own review. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I haven't experienced any yet. Could be a lack of know how at this point but, it would be interesting to see options for email templates. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I love that Fathom lets me flag important moments during a call and then seamlessly backtracks to the start of that conversation. This feature is especially handy in multi-topic meetings, where discussions can quickly jump between projects. It automatically groups my flagged items and questions, so I can review all the details at once—each bullet even links directly to the exact moment in the video. This level of precision has made my daily meetings more efficient and stress-free. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
One minor drawback is that the notetaker appears as a guest in my Zoom calls. While I understand its purpose, its visible presence sometimes feels a bit intrusive and can remind participants that the session is being recorded. This occasionally disrupts the natural flow of conversation, so I tend to switch it off in more sensitive meetings. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
