It helps automate the filling out of expenses. I usually upload a PDF of my costs, let Expensify do it's thing while I respond to an email, and then get back to review the expense. Rinse and repeat! It makes it easy for me to track the costs and load it without taking all the time these things usually do. I have yet to try their app but I don't need to load expenses consistently. The only thing I dislike about Expensify is that I have to ensure my expenses are attached to a report to send out. This step seems disconnected with the typical workflow of uploading expenses and would be better if Expensify could minimize the # of steps in order to get these submitted and reviewed. Receipt photo capture not as good at focussing just on receipt as other systems (e.g. Zoho) I have used but not really a problem. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

So far, no downside! Wish I had used Expensify sooner.
Maybe perhaps an easier way to remember what email to submit my expenses too (I often send to the wrong one), perhaps with a Mail Client Add-In? Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
One of the things I like most about the product is that it has a very intuitive user interface that significantly facilitates the usability and administration of the system; among so many uses, we use it to submit and approve expense reports, and it has given us no problems so far, it has made the process simpler. It has cut out the limitations in expense management, allowing us to manage expenses and move forward quickly and efficiently. Expensify makes it simple to submit expenses on the go. Take a picture put a number in click submit. Way better than the old days with excel spreadsheet. Plus they get approved and reimbursed quickly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Expensify does remind me when I have receipts pending. I think it only needs to do this once a month rather than on any other regular basis. If there was an option for when to do these reminders that would be an improvement Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I like how simple the interface is to understand and use! The tool makes it easy and quick to enter expenses, compile reports, and approve or deny reports, as well as helpful functions like setting a Vacation delegate to approve reports in your absence. The automated scanning of receipts is also very helpful, and the expenses move through the "create>submit>approved>expensed" flow much faster than other expense reporting and reimbursement tools I have used. I wish there was a way to have some sort of "shared teams" function where multiple managers within the same department could review expenses from downlines within the same department. I also would like reports that are not yet approved to send back to the individual's manager when they remove their delegate, rather than the report continuing to "live" with the delegate.
