I like the fact that it is very user friendly. The interaction of being able to see each stage of the process from when it's in process, to approved, to when it's expected to be paid out is a really good feature. I like that it allows you to keep track of your expenses by seeing previous expenses made. The platform and features are really good as it's not a whole lot but just enough. Simple but detailed. It is so easy to instantly upload and tag receipts on the go! I love that it only takes a few seconds to finalize an expense report and I can do everything from my phone. Whether I'm in the middle of the airport, wrapping up dinner, or checking out of a hotel, I can snap a quick picture, enter some tags, and have peace of mind that my report is complete and I have everything digitized on the spot. I find the email forwarding a bit clunky - if there is a tip or a hotel expense that is not exactly and easily matched to the receipt, the site will generate a separate report. I find it very easy to just go into the created report and attach a receipt and it's very easy to do without email forwarding, but it would be nice if that feature was a bit more sophisticated. I reached out to Daniel regarding our membership and he was very polite and explained that they do their best to be as transparent as possible with their pricing structure. He was able to change our membership to monthly so that we could remove our company from the platform. The process was very easy and Daniel was great to work with. Although, we never wanted it to get to this point for the company to take action.

We are a small business that wanted to use Expensify to see and organize out expenses. The setup process was virtually non-existent for someone inexperienced with previous expense reporting software. Their “concierge” was pointless and the “free days” they provide you during setup are only to lay the ground work to completely screw you in the future. I had to fill out and contact our business banker just for them to contact someone completely different. Waste of time during setup. Then, in order to use their service, everyone had to have a seat. I chose the pay by month option so that we could cancel when needed but guess what, they have a 1 year contract so now we have to pay $211/month for a service that we are not using AT ALL! Unbelievable that they would trap companies in this type of predatory subscription. Never again, and I would recommend ALL COMPANIES TO USE RAMP! I love how easy it is to use. The feature to upload multiple receipts at once is by far my favorite.

Where do I start? The set-up interface is the most confusing I've experienced, even compared to software that does much more complex tasks. It's very expensive. I've found free software that does exactly what Expensify did and more. And the support was absolutely terrible, we were on a paid plan and only got access to something they call "Concierge" which is like a support chat where you are passed around from agent to agent. Expensify allows our organization to easily log expenses to both common costs and to specific projects. It is easy to download reports and go back to find expenses for reporting and audits. It has transformed the way I log expenses on work travel, making it an invaluable tool for work efficiency. I especially like the smart scanning function for receipts. The only potential downside of using Expensify is that I tend to be less organized in saving my physical receipts, and for some projects these are necessary.
