I like the clean employee interface. it is, for the most part, easy for employees to navigate. I like that it shows well in sales meetings. I feel like once we have someone on Ease it makes it much harder for them to leave our agency. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I originally said there should be an Ease University where new agents can come to your office or do an online training for a week. The biggest frustration is the slow drip of learning as I call customer service or find mistakes that help me learn the system better. The hold times are also too long when calling customer service. The team that answers is normally very knowledgeable or finds the answer. Everyone is very friendly. But the hold times are too long. A few improvements. Allow an option for a "change" to be changed for every client. For example, I wanted to add the new option to be notified for eligibility changes. I have to go into each client & change it. There should be a "change all" field so I can change every client with a few clicks to now initiate notifications for every client. There should also be a "set up" setting so each new client can be set up the same & then just go in & edit rather than set up from scratch? For example, I have made benefit videos that are product specific. I embed those into various benefit like group life, short-term disability, accident etc. I want to be able to have those videos automatically added to a product if the product is added as a benefit. Now, I have to add the benefit & manually copy/paste each video into each product. It's time consuming & leads to risk of lack of uniformity across clients. A master setup template for each product would be solid. The most important change you could make. Add in something like walkme where a bubble pops up after each click letting the employee where to look & click next when using the system. This walk through could not just point to something that has to be chosen, but it could point to the benefit summaries, benefit comparison, reference to pdf fliers pertaining to the carriers or products etc. I meet with a lot of employees who are very untech savvy (their words). They come into benefit meetings and appear a little intimidated. They don't want to look stupid. Help them to be more comfortable by walking them through it. A hurtle to the system is the "use it at open enrollment and not log in again until next open enrollment." Why not create and set up an automatic email drip that we can elect into for our clients. So the system sends emails to employees over the first few weeks to log in so that they get required to use the system a few times over the first few months. I think this will drastically increase employee adoption and acceptance. I would do the same for the HR administrators who are using the system as our agency clients. They also either really buy in or resist the program. I have had success when I have met with a new HR person, show him/her the system, do a screen share a week later & another a week later. By then, they have bought in & are usually using the system. Why not have a service where an Ease trainer reaches out to a new client or new HR administrator and does a quick series of screen shares to help train the new administrators. Again, we could opt in (or out) & know that an expert was handling this for us better than we are able to. Overall the system is very good. I would be better at it if I was in it all of the time. I am a P&C and benefits agent so I don't work on benefits exclusively. Your system is easier for benefit-only agencies. If you can make it really easy for agencies who have a business spread like mine, you will greatly expand your reach. Thanks for making a great product that really become crazy good. Ease is user friendly to use while setting up clients in the system. The open enrollment set up is easy to set up and roll out to our clients. Our clients employees are able to complete their benefits records quickly and with no issues. We use Ease daily for our clients benefits needs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The only downside is that it is not as seamlessly integrated with payroll and other HR features. It is great with housing benefits for our clients but we haven't used many other features that is offerred. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
We use Ease synced with our employee records from Bamboo so that new employees import automatically with all the necessary information already filled in. It was easy to integrate with a few clicks and makes it really easy to ensure all employees are loaded into the system and to send out invites for enrollment. It also transmits enrollment documents directly to the providers without needing to be initiated or sent manually by our broker.
The first time I used it for open enrollment I was completely unfamiliar with the system but customer support walked me through the basics and it was easy.
There are a lot of reports available to pull census information, deductions for payroll, and 1094C reporting. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I wish the system would alert me automatically when new employees have completed an enrollment, so that I can ensure deductions are entered in our outside payroll. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I really like how easy the program is to navigate. The UI is very streamlined and I think the employee view is very clear and clean too. The support teams are very helpful and always available to assist. I also like how open to input they are; I've seen several suggestions and requests be built into the programming. Some system changes go through growing pains and I think are pushed out too soon at times. I feel like I miss a lot of programming updates that would be useful to know, but get breezed over. Pay schedules really could use a revamp. If this could be integrated into Ease, instead of needing to upload an excel document, I think this would be a huge improvement. Very intuitive and user-friendly. Reporting options are great and I feel like it works well on the backend, making it truly a one-stop shop for benefits management for my team. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
One major downside is that the platform is built on the broker side which means if you decide to change in the future that information will have to be completely rebuilt (the employer doesn't "own" the account). Given that this doesn't happen too often it's not a huge issue. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Adding dependents and beneficiaries is easy. The website is clean, crisp, and easy to read. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Employees cannot always tell when they are finished enrolling in benefits. The final submit button should be much more obvious to find. It is currently on the top right of the screen when most employees have scrolled down to the bottom of the screen to look for it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Ease is bery user-friendly and is great with reporting. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
When you do make a change there is no save buttom but it saves itself. It is hard for me to remember that because I am used to save button. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Their platform can set up EDI feds for census/enrollment/company info which is very convenient for stopping in one location for benefits management, mostly ancillary carriers. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
However, there seems to be a disconnect in getting clients to use Ease. If the clients go to the company directly to make changes, the information in Ease could affect enrollment of terminated employees still being enrolled or reenrolled in coverage. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Ease has been so helpful for our company. Not only are all my important HR documents all in one place, but they're online. If I am out of the office or already gone for the day, I can easily login online and get the information I need. It is also so nice for onboarding. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I do wish I was able to add more Custom paperwork for them to fill out during onboarding. Careflite applications have to be hand done instead of auto-generated like all the others. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
