What do you like best about Amex GBT Egencia?

The platform itself is very user friendly. Its also fairly easy to get in touch with a rep if you need assistance with a trip. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Amex GBT Egencia?

Not sure where to start. The account management team is not helpful at all and sometimes will take 2-3 times following up to get a response to your issue. We have had multiple bugs and issues that still have not been corrected, this is making our employees NOT use Egencia so they don't have to deal with these issues. 1) Travelers are not receiving loyalty points at hotels unless they are using their personal card when booking

2) Hotels are less expensive on their site vs. Egencia

What do you like best about Amex GBT Egencia?

As a travel manager, I appreciate Egencia’s ease of use and how seamlessly it allows me to manage travel for our company. The platform is intuitive, making it simple to book, modify, and oversee travel arrangements for multiple employees. The reporting features are robust, providing clear insights into travel spend, trends, and compliance. Additionally, Egencia’s customer service is responsive and helpful, ensuring that any issues or last-minute changes are handled efficiently. What do you dislike about Amex GBT Egencia?

The main downside (and I think downside is a strong word for this) I’ve encountered is the guest booking functionality. Unlike regular users, guests cannot be easily searched within the platform, making it cumbersome to locate their information. Instead, I have to generate and print a report just to find guest users, which adds an extra step to the process. While this isn’t a dealbreaker, it would be much more efficient if guest travelers were searchable in the same way as regular users. Overall, this is the only feature I would change. What problems is Amex GBT Egencia solving and how is that benefiting you?

As a construction company, one of our biggest travel challenges was controlling hotel spending and ensuring that our subcontractors could check in without needing a personal credit card. Egencia has streamlined this process by allowing us to attach company travel credit cards to bookings, enabling prepayment so that subs don’t have to present a card at check-in. This not only removes a financial burden from them but also enhances security by keeping our payment process centralized and protected. Additionally, Egencia’s tracking capabilities allow us to see which division is utilizing a subcontractor based on the credit card charge, providing clear financial oversight and reporting. What do you like best about Amex GBT Egencia?

I love the fact that we can go to one site to book travel arrangements for our employees. Once you set everyone up, the site stores all their important information, including rewards information. No need to keep track of everything for each employee, Egencia does that for you. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Amex GBT Egencia?

It's an annoyance that even when reservations are canceled, we are still charged the booking fees. I know they're not much, but having to explain to all our employees that they still need to input this small fee into their expense report is a headache. What do you like best about Amex GBT Egencia?

The most helpful aspects of Egencia are that I can keep a completely itinerary all together without having to book flights, hotel, car separately. And that I can compare flights from all airlines, filtering for the number of stops, connecting cities, price and sort however I choose. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Amex GBT Egencia?

I don't like that it seems to take long to get things accomplished by phone because the reps do not speak English as their first language. They are a little slow sometimes in speaking but they are very clear and are easy to understand. And always helpful and kind. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Amex GBT Egencia solving and how is that benefiting you?

They solve the problem of trying to identify expenses when I process my expense report. The standard reports make it very easy to identify which traveler and trip goes with a particular credit card transaction. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The plateform offers a great variety of accomodation options at competitve prices, making it easy to find the right choice for different needs. The ease of implementation and integration into our system was seamless, and it's been incredibly user-friendly for both myself and my team. What do you like best about Amex GBT Egencia?

I can easily see all bookings for my entire team, excellent reports to help understand our highest cost related to travel each quarter, and easy booking anytime my team needs to travel. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Amex GBT Egencia?

I would like the ability to create a new booking from an existing booking. That way the traveler name and hotel location are auto filled by the software so that all I have to do is enter new travel dates. This would be a time saver as many of my field team members stay in one location for serval weeks at a time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

you have wherever possible removed the human touch for even the simplest of question or problem resolution difficult. As a travel manager I don't have days or even sometimes weeks to wait for resolution. What do you like best about Amex GBT Egencia?

Onboarding was easy and the system is intuitive and easy to use. Like the automatic search in the system that looks for cheaper bookings to match existing reservations. What do you like best about Amex GBT Egencia?

We’ve been using Egencia as our travel management solution, and I’m really impressed with how well it integrates with our other systems. The app is intuitive and easy to use, which makes booking and managing travel so much smoother for our team. Their customer service has also been responsive and helpful whenever we’ve had questions. What do you dislike about Amex GBT Egencia?

Egencia has been helpful for managing our business travel, but there are a few areas that could use improvement. While the chatbot is fine for initial questions, I would prefer 24/7 access to a human representative for more complex issues. There should be an easier way to bypass the bot when needed. Also, the lack of integration with Norwegian airlines is a bit frustrating, as I can’t modify reservations through self-service and need to call customer support for changes. For me, Egencia helps streamline the entire travel planning process. While it’s easy to find flights and hotels through other tools, Egencia’s main benefit is having everything in one place, especially when things change or I need to cancel a trip. When something goes wrong, it’s incredibly convenient to have one single point of contact for handling any issues. This makes my business travel much smoother and less stressful. What do you like best about Amex GBT Egencia?

approval process is simplified. I search for flight and hotel and approval request goes straight to my boss. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Amex GBT Egencia?

when something goes wrong there is nobody in charge to make decisions.

service agents don't know what they are doing. I talked to 4-5 different agents and they kept changing how the process works. service consistency is non existent.

In some case the service fee is 50% of what the actual travel item is.

When calling agents don't mention any possible service fee but only the travel item price. I was quite surprised when a fee was slapped on top. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Be more transparent about possible fees.
