Not sure where to start. The account management team is not helpful at all and sometimes will take 2-3 times following up to get a response to your issue. We have had multiple bugs and issues that still have not been corrected, this is making our employees NOT use Egencia so they don't have to deal with these issues. As a travel manager, I appreciate Egencia’s ease of use and how seamlessly it allows me to manage travel for our company. The platform is intuitive, making it simple to book, modify, and oversee travel arrangements for multiple employees. The reporting features are robust, providing clear insights into travel spend, trends, and compliance. Additionally, Egencia’s customer service is responsive and helpful, ensuring that any issues or last-minute changes are handled efficiently. The main downside (and I think downside is a strong word for this) I’ve encountered is the guest booking functionality. Unlike regular users, guests cannot be easily searched within the platform, making it cumbersome to locate their information. Instead, I have to generate and print a report just to find guest users, which adds an extra step to the process. While this isn’t a dealbreaker, it would be much more efficient if guest travelers were searchable in the same way as regular users. Overall, this is the only feature I would change. I love the fact that we can go to one site to book travel arrangements for our employees. Once you set everyone up, the site stores all their important information, including rewards information. It's an annoyance that even when reservations are canceled, we are still charged the booking fees. I know they're not much, but having to explain to all our employees that they still need to input this small fee into their expense report is a headache. The most helpful aspects of Egencia are that I can keep a completely itinerary all together without having to book flights, hotel, car separately. I don't like that it seems to take long to get things accomplished by phone because the reps do not speak English as their first language. I would like the ability to create a new booking from an existing booking. That way the traveler name and hotel location are auto filled by the software so that all I have to do is enter new travel dates. From time to time, personnel have to call in for support. This has not always been a good experience. Delays and inexperienced agents. you have wherever possible removed the human touch for even the simplest of question or problem resolution difficult. As a travel manager I don't have days or even sometimes weeks to wait for resolution. Egencia has been helpful for managing our business travel, but there are a few areas that could use improvement. While the chatbot is fine for initial questions, I would prefer 24/7 access to a human representative for more complex issues. There should be an easier way to bypass the bot when needed. Also, the lack of integration with Norwegian airlines is a bit frustrating, as I can’t modify reservations through self-service and need to call customer support for changes. service agents don't know what they are doing. I talked to 4-5 different agents and they kept changing how the process works. service consistency is non existent.
In some case the service fee is 50% of what the actual travel item is.
