I can always rely on eFax online when it comes to my business. I fax to the IRS on a regular basis and usually while I have a agent live on the phone. Efax has always been so reliable and easy to use, with follow up emails that are sent to you. The website is easy to use and eFax online makes my job a whole lot easier. Setting up is so easy. You just make an account and a fax number number is assigned to you. The interface is user-friendly and everything is laid out for you. You upload the documents you want to send, fill in information about your recipient and voila, your fax is sent. If you are faxing large documents, you will be charged an additional amount that isn't disclosed on the subscription pages, but somewhere in the terms and conditions. This can make faxing with eFax more expensive than other services. Additionally, there is no feature to show you that a fax is pending, only a temporary pop-up that tells you it was sent. This can be a nuisance if you're sending multiple faxes or those with large documents and want an email confirmation or somewhere on the homepage showing you the status of your faxes. eFax is easy to find and relatively easy to use. I've never experienced downtime, or had a need for customer support, and the number of features supported in sending faxes, such as coverage modifications and address books, makes it well worth the price in my mind. I needed to send a single page to the IRS by fax but had to be on the phone with the IRS rep when I sent it to receive a document faxed back. Time was of the essence so I couldn't do any research on who I was using and used the first fax service listed on Google. I signed up with eFax for a $5 introductory offer that allows 170 pages to be sent and recieved. I only need to use 2 of those pages, 1 to send, 1 to receive, I thought. I was wrong. I attempted to send 3 times but it never went through. Then my banking app started popping up with repeated $10 charges. I checked my banking app, and had been billed twice for the $5 subscription and and additional $10 each time I went over my plans limit. I contacted their support and was told I'd exceeded my limit by 272 pages. I DIDN'T SUCCESSFULLY SEND OR RECEIVE A SINGLE PAGE. I requested a refund, minus the $5 initial charge which I will write off under "being an idiot fees." The request has supposedly been sent for approval and i will hear back in 3 to 15 days. Sending a fax is a bit of an arduous process and after a recent update, my faxes were not being sent despite receiving notifications that they were. We did not realize this for a few weeks but after an hour working with customer service the problem was resolved. Really wish we would have been made aware of the known issue via email or phone call so we could have fixed the problem before weeks of missed sent and received faxes. The only downside I would have to say is knowing when additional charges will be done. I think if you are close to your limit of the subscription you have then maybe a reminder email goes out to say you are at this currently or send an email with the additional charges. One month I had multiple charges on my statement and I didn't know why and I sent an email which they responded quickly to and let me know that I went over one month.
