What do you like best about Control-M?
# It is helping me to schedule the jobs which help me to manage my workload as well as i can avoid the akward time just to run the job.
# It shows the staus of running job which help me to debug. Even it shows output and error log for debugging.
# There is no impact on software even i schedule 100 jobs in one time.
#UI is so advanced I can see all jobs in one page, Monitoring window is differnt, Shows history of job also.

What do you dislike about Control-M?
# It shows only 7 days history, Atleast i want 30 days history.
# Software is very heavy. it tooks lots of running time memory so i can not use other apps properly while using control-m.

What do you like best about Control-M?
The best sides of the Control-M tool are that it shows jobs more clearly and orderly. This tool also allows you to set the jobs flow view as Map / List / Gantt chart. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
What do you dislike about Control-M?
The only dislike I have in the Control-M is that when you try to load the entire host jobs in the planning section, it will take some time as numerous jobs are present under each server. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Control-M?
The batches customisation filters where we can apply sub application and can check the batches related to it with graphical representation as grey for waiting, yellow for executing, green for completed Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It's hard to automate the batches. We can configure with outlook as it sends mail when batches ended not ok but it's difficult to do. Also it takes time to open. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Control-M?
We use automated Control-m jobs to do our housekeeping of MQ servers. So we had to set up the control-m jobs.
It helps to automate most tasks requiring you to log in to the server and spend 10-20 minutes. When you have thousands of servers, there is no option for control-m. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
What do you dislike about Control-M?
Multiple times the Control-m jobs used to fail. So we had to do the task and restart the control-m jobs manually. But this happened rarely. When you compare the overall tasks done by control-m, I don't mind some failures. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Control-M?
I like the way it monitors batch jobs in sequence and alerts us of the warning and errors in it so that we can fix them, and it will help the business in continuity Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
What do you dislike about Control-M?
All good but only one thing it should notify through mail about the particular job failures so that even if support misses, it will wake you, the stakeholders. That's what I feel Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Control-M Gui is very user friendly and what you see is what you get. There are also multiple tutorials found in Youtube for the differemt functions of the tool Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
What do you dislike about Control-M?
What I don't like with scheduling in Control-M is that when you schedule a job that has the same in-condition instead of confirming with you if you want to change the other one, it will add a random number to denote the difference between them. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

BMC Control-M Workload Automation tool has GUI(Graphical User Interface).
With new release web based interface and API capabilities has also increased.

They are licenseing Model is something which is not good for small organization.
They charge per job executed in system and separate cost for there modules
