Its user interface is incredibly intuitive; you barely need any "101" training as most of the features are so user-friendly and designed for the non-technical amongst us. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
This is very nitpicky, but for some reason - for me, at least - the flow of naming an email and the subject line that flows in when you copy a prior email gets missed and I don't see I've mis-named the email or mismatched the subject line until I send myself a test. We have been using Constant Contact for our Consumer Event business for many years. I have been personally using it with this company for almost four years. It is very easy to use and has many features that have come in very handy for us. The first thing I was able to do when we moved our business from Virginia to Florida was rebuild our contacts and not pay for emails that were not in our area. I am able to keep a good list of emails and consistently have a 40-50% open rate. I really like to be able to see if/when people open our emails. We have vendors who say they didn't get an email and I am able to look it up and let them know that not only did they get it, they opened it 5 times on these dates. It's easy to drag and drop pictures and create emails. It's easy to build email lists from our website or from s social media campaign. It has many great features. I would say one thing that I wish Constant Contact could do is if you could make a change after a email has been sent. For example, if you find something is linked to the wrong URL or a misspelled word. You have to resend the whole email. You can't even fix it before and email is sent to non-openers. Simplicity vs other CRM platforms, I tried highlevel and mailchimp but contant contact is more simple and user friendly than others Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Difficulty to reach some one from customer support, it takes time on phone to reach someone then you don't have answer, when I started my clients reached above 1000 then the price tier goes up automatically, then when the number of clients goes down to less than 1000, Constant Contact continues to take the some amount of money for the higher tier for 3 months, until I finally reached someone from customer support, he told me that the platform goes up automatically but not down, you need to call to fix it. That is ridiculous, they took money for 3 months without any reason. They said they will refund but now more that 6 months and I didn't receive any funds. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I find it t be an intuitive interface. It's easy to try and do something new because the process is made simple at every opportunity. There are a wide varietyy of options for how to promote an event or adjust contact lists. It is also excellent for capturing data on small groups. I look forward to digging into it more. I find the fontt to be very thin and pale and difficult to see. In terms of accessibility, other fonts such as those in the sans family would be more comfortable for those with low vision or reading difficulties. The contracts is also somewhat aggressive, as the extensive use of white can be fatiquing and can make it easier to skip over buttons. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

As the person who handles the emails and social media of our office, we need something that makes it easy to get in touch with patients about everything we have going on in the office. Constant Contact does just that! The interface is easy to use and the templates that they have available for you to use look nice! We update our email list bi-weekly and create emails weekly. When we have sales or promotions going on, it's super easy to implement the emails to go out for a specific date/time. I love that we can integrate links for our social media pages into our emails as well. Everything about Constant Contact makes our lives easier! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Honestly, I can't pin point anything that I dislike about Constant Contact. So far, everything has been perfect! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Very straight forward and easy to use. Creating templates, creating emails, customization etc. is easy. The analytics get the job done as well if you're looking for simple metrics such as open rates, CTR, bounce rate etc.
Segmentation, list management, some automation is also very easy to set up.
Overall, this is a good tool that gets the job done. Not too deep in my experience but that's not needed 9 times out of 10. In the end, ease of use would be the biggest pro and purely on that basis, I'd recommend it for sure. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Automation capabilities and analytics could be a lit bit deeper. For example, within reporting, you dont necessarily get much options to visualize data. Most times it's not needed but it would be a good to have for sure (for me atleast) Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The Montgomery County Police Alumni Association, Inc. has been using Constant Contact for more than five years to communicate with its 800 members scattered throughout the U. S. It is easy to use and maintain our membership data. Several members without any formal internet or computer skills have been trained to use it as we "pass the torch" from one volunteer to the next. We use it to create and send out our bi-weekly newsletters, bulletins and announcements. Having multiple-user capabilities enables some newsletter contributors to submit directly into the newsletter, bulletin, etc. their draft and/or images, making it much easier for the editor to publish without typing or copying. Sharing the load works well with Constant Contact. Its built-in features enable image editing. Its event management system promotes and registers all types of events. And the annual price is reasonable. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There is not much to dislike. In the past CC has listened to users and met many requests for updates and additions. It serves our purposes well. One simple wish would be to copy the information from an existing contact into a new contact with a different email address and name. That's all I can think of now. I run a nonprofit organization and I rely on Constant Contact to stay in touch with our supporters in a number of different ways, and it was pretty simple for us to get this system up and running. We send out a weekly email using the free templates. They are easy to modify and customize, and they help us create professional communications. Once the email goes out, we also get useful metrics on open rate, click rate, etc .... that helps inform our work. I also use the social media functions on a daily basis. It is useful to be able to schedule social media posts in advance without having to pay for a separate service that does this. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I love the options for social media, but I wish that in addition to being able to post to instagram, facebook, and linked in ... that I could also schedule posts to BlueSky and other social media applications.
I am interested in the texting options, but they are a bit pricey at the moment. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Early on I used virtually all the major email products, and found that each one is best at some part of the process. Over time I found that Constant Contact provides the best overall constellation of features, and for that reason I used it exclusively.
But there is another, more powerful reason, and that is Constant Contact offers live tech support, not just the general non-specific unhelpful answers that others may provide (if they provide live support at all), but login the account with you, work with you and solve the problem kind of tech support that makes all the difference. Their support staff are consistently helpful, no question is too dumb, and it is only rarely that a question needs to go to a second level. Countless times over my 15 years with Constant Contact I've been saved by the dedication of these individuals.
Uniquely, in one situation I had a challenging problem that seemed to represent a systems issue, and on impulse I wrote an email to the CEO, who not only responded but gathered a meeting of experts in a zoom to review the issue.
In the battle of product features, Constant Contact stands out on many, but in the vital area of supportintg its users, it stands alone as the best there is. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The least positive aspect of Constant Contact is in the area of analytics. In a world of increasing concern on ROI and data based evaluation of success, its analytic power lags the development of the rest of the system. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I love the content that we are able to share with our families.
I love that I can sign families up or they can do it themselves.
I love being able to copy a previous newsletter and edit/update it for the following week.
I love the app that allows me to upload pictures from my phone.
I love getting a link that I can add to my social media or other forms of communication with parents. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
We have 12 people that need to add content to our newsletter every week. No one can be on the site at the same time even if they are not working on the same section. Finding time for 12 people to get onto the site individually is truly an act of God each week. They now have to request a code each time they want on and I have to be monitoring my phone every second on Fridays to make sure they can get in within 5 minutes.
I do not like that I cannot get a downloaded file of pictures at the end of each year. This would help keep our picture file empty and it would give me a database of photos that I could search easily after time has passed. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The user interface is very simple even a new hire with no previous email marketing experience can pick up in few days. The reporting dash board is straightforward and easy to read, all essential report can be shown within clicks. I also like the Heat Map analysis very much, it really helps me understand customer behavior and the performance of our creative assets. Thier customer service is very suportive and knowledable. On top of that, thier pricing is the most approachable compared with all competitors. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The list, segment, and tag featrues are not the best among all the email tools I've used, because it doesn't have as many condition filter to segment contact to very granular level. Some email marketing tool can automatically generate UTM code for your email, but with Constant Contract I have to put my own UTM code. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
