The ability to queue my content and spread the shares out over the course of the day or week, on multiple networks and with different schedules per network. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I wish it offered more networks (Google+, Instagram, etc.) and I wish it had the ability to automatically re-post a selection of content I wanted to continue to promote over time (evergreen blog posts, etc.). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Buffer is perfect for queuing up content to be pushed out at regular intervals. The data analysis will help identify top tweets to consider retweeting or moving into different channels. With the ability to setup how often Buffer sends out queued messages, you'll quickly be scrambling to curate enough content.
The team behind Buffer are all about awesome support! They provide amazing service and are very proactive before problems arise. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Some twitter users consider content scheduled to be simple spam. It's important to be sure your content is curated to match your voice and perspective while ensuring you are available to engage when the content is delivered. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Buffer lets me schedule a lot of content for Twitter and LinkedIn (I don't use it for other platforms). You can choose the schedule when the content is posted. This allows you to ensure that you aren't bombarding your followers all at once. Buffer integrates into Twitter and other platforms, so that when you see something you want to share you can easily add it to your Buffer queue. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Since I use the TweetDeck desktop application and Buffer does not work within the tool. Otherwise I find it hard to complain about anything, especially since I use the free version. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The Buffer app runs in any browser and makes posting to multiple accounts very easy. Building a post schedule as well as schedule individual posts takes only a few steps. Finally, once buffer is associated with a browser, the Buffer button will appear in every image, making the sharing of external content a 1 step process. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I wish the Facebook Analytics was not blocked by a pay wall. Also, the free option allows for only 10 scheduled posts for Facebook. These are reasonable blocks, but I had to say something :) Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The core business for Buffer has been social media management based upon scheduling. Buffer has really come a long ways since it started and now you're able to to not only schedule your posts, but also track analytics with those posts. Another aspect that I have enjoyed has been the ability to have the Buffer Chrome extension where if you run into something on a page that you want to share, you can choose the extension and schedule or post it right now. This isn't so much a dislike per se, but using buffer does not trigger on websites for general tracking of social media. If you hit the like button on a website, it counts and the Facebook owner receives notification that their post was liked. With Buffer, it does not trigger that and so it doesn't count the same way. It can still be tracked by the site owner, but it requires deeper analytics than the basics. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
We had 130 clients for social media, run by a team of 2.5 people. Every single one of them had at least one profile (Facebook page) on Buffer. Most had 2-4 (we offered services on Twitter/FB/Google+/LinkedIn Co Page).
The items below saved the agency I worked at hundreds of dollars a month. We could NOT have been the single largest small business digital marketing agency in the country without them.
1. Ability to set up a Schedule Queue and drop content into it without the need to schedule each item.
2. Ability to install Chrome extension and right-click ANY IMAGE and add it to Buffer.
3. Buffer is the ONLY social media app that posts images that appear as if they were uploaded natively through the browser extension. All other tools (like Hootsuite and it's Hootlet) require you to upload the image as an attachment within the app itself.
4. Great pricing structure - perfect for small business and now scaled up for bigger businesses.
5. GROUPING - super cool feature. And yes I had a few conversations with Buffer about it that pushed them to build out this feature.
6. Team management features that kick Hootsuite's BUTT. Really simple in the Business plan to set up which profiles can be seen by which team members.
7. The new automatic Feeds feature is great - it's nice to be able to curate the posts before sending them, though I would like an auto-post option as well. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
1. Just one thing really: they didn't originally build this tool for managing many profiles. Last November (2013) to March - those months were SUPER buggy as they tried to roll out Business features. But they had amazing customer service, and often gave us an hour-ish a couple times a month, as we were guinea pigs for their highest level. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I like the ease of use and ability to manage numerous accounts at once. Additionally, unlike Hootsuite, I like that Buffer allows you to include images in tweets that you schedule and those images are embedded in the posts when they are posted.

I think the content aggregation/discovery aspect of Buffer could be a bit more customized based on the topics a user typically posts about. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I have found that the most beneficial features of Buffer is the ability to store in one place all the content being published and keep track of it on a regular basis. I also enjoy the interface and user-friendly features. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I think improvements can be made in the app. It seems to have glitches at times. This has only happened a few times, for the most part it seems to work without major problems. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Buffer is my favorite app for quickly adding social posts, scheduling and getting analytics. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I wish I could bulk upload social media posts into Buffer instead of loading each one individually. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
