It's quick - with links added to Facebook, Twitter and Chrome, it's incredibly simple to post something later. I'm not supposed to use Social Media during work hours, but I do use the internet a lot for work and on my lunch break, so I come across stuff I want to share. I can quickly Buffer it and have it appear after work hours with no time wasted. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The icon for the Chrome extension is all black. If you use a black theme, you won't see the Buffer icon. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Never have to type in the time/date for posting. It's as easy as adding it to the queue. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
That I cannot skip a buffer time slot, when needed. I like to spread out my tweets, but when I post in real-time too close to my buffer schedule...problemo. Wish I could choose just to skip a time slot. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
This is such a great tool for so many sharing purposes. Being a casual tweeter and bloggers I can easily push out content when I want using this app, and best of all the iphone app makes it easy for me to use on the move. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Disclaimer: I've only used the free account, so I can't vouch for the premium options. I like the built-in analytics that Buffer provides and the ability to schedule posts for very specific dates and times. The Chrome extension allows users to quickly grab posts they'd like to share, which is a nice add-on. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I've actually stopped using Buffer simply because the ability to schedule items was bit rigid (again, on the free account). Items automatically popped into the next available time slot, when sometime I'd prefer for them to go to a different slot. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I love the set times scheduling (stacking) method they use. As a community manager I found that Buffer helped me accomplish what I wanted in quick time. Their analytics are not bad either Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There's an inability to search for particular tweets using geolocation, as with competitors like Hootsuite. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The Firefox app makes it easy to load up interesting content for the day. With the app, my home and work machines are synced together. The easy-to-understand analytics are helpful in gauging what content is working. The drag-and-schedule functionality helps prioritize outbound content. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I would love to see some sort of integration of the scheduled content page and the tab where you set new times for content to be released. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I really enjoy the analytics that are provided. It gives me the opportunity to see what types of content are working along with best times to tweet. I also like to dive into data and Buffer gives me the chance to spot trends among my community that algorithms sometimes can't. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Honestly, there isn't anything I don't like about it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It's easy to use and manipulate to meet my needs and the needs of my clients.
It's user-friendly
Free version offers enough for novice/casual users Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
- No Google+ integration
- Can't monitor news feeds (like Hootsuite/ TweetDeck)
- it's a bit of a pain to switch on and off the link shortener setting; would be best to have either a "buff.ly" shortener extension or have a "quick shorten"/ "on-time only" shortening tool in the chrome extension.
- allow for analysis of additional short-links such as linkedin, google, etc Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The ability to share information quickly and easily from my phone. The Buffer blog posts are great too! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
You have to select the networks for sharing before you begin the post. I haven't found a way to go back and change the networks after I've got to the text editing stage. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
