Their system is the best in the market for usability, functionality, and overall design. We love the fact that the setup for new users in our org is seamless with SSO, and it's pretty self-serve for many people. We have been able to organize our files well in the system so it's easy for our employees to find the assets they want easily. The new portals are great for building catalogs of assets for different groups and uses. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Over the years their customer service went from outstanding to just average. When they went through their merger, it seemed like that was no longer a focus and clear, timely communication has gone down. It also seems like communication about feature updates is gone as well. There is such a variety of ways to filter and parse search results. By setting up labels, tags, and more, it's easy to find exactly what you are looking for in a sea of digital assets. This has worked so much better than using a folder structure on one of our local servers. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
One of the reasons we chose Brandfolder was for its ability to integrate with Adobe software. However, the utilization of CI Hub is difficult and frankly we avoid using it. Most of the time we simply download the assets we need from the Brandfolder web UI. Either CI Hub needs a UI overhaul, or Brandfolder should look into another vendor for it's app integration. Brilliant organization of your assets on a wide spectrum. It makes storing files on a computer feel like ancient ways. The tagging and searchability of brandfolder make assets so easy to find. The AI element also helps tremendously as well. I can't imagine a better way to organize, store and locate files. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It seems like every single time that a new feature comes out that seems somewhat interesting it is snagged by the fact that it costs $$ to add. Even something like adding extra admins. Don't get me wrong, I understand the concept of why would you expect stuff for free; however it would be nice, while we already pay handsomely, if not every single thing has to be a price gouge. We've been lucky enough to work around, but others may not. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Brandfolder is easy to learn, easy to use, and allows for information across multiple platforms to be updated instantaneously. Took very little time for us to set up and get running and easily integrate media into our website. We now use Brandfolder daily as we add or update content across our website and disseminate sales information to our Sales team. The Brandfolder representatives were also extremely helpful during set up and later as we looked to upgrade. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Brandfolder is one of those platforms that can very easily snowball out of control if you don't have well established protocols/guidelines for your admins and editors as well as a gameplan on how you want to arrange and organize your media. Not inherently the problem of Brandfolder, but check and balances are needed so it doesn't become your looking for needles in the haystack. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
We LOVE Brandfolder because it's one stop where all our teammates can access what they need. No one person has random files or folders for our content. The best features are tags for easy searching, share links, and upload links. Not only does it cut time for our teammates within the organization, but our creative vendors also love it too. Haven't needed customer support yet, but feel they're easy to access. We use Brandfolder every day. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It would be fantastic if Brandfolder integrated into the Finder of a Mac like cloud based storages do (like OneDrive, Dropbox, and Google Drive.) Although Brandfolder is different, we find ourselves still needing to use the other services for daily file saving and then transfering over. It makes it feel like Brandfolder is just a space for photos and somewhat a luxurious add on rather than a necessity. Not great that they charge extra for setup and implementation through their professionals. We opted not to pay and extra few thousand dollars but it was a long slog to get started. Sharing files or document with vendors, third party partners and external folks Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I've uploaded countless files into brandfolder but the search functionality can continue to be improved. I've tried looking up a file using the exact name and it produce many results but not quite the exact file popping up. I even tried toggling the filter and search settings but it can be a bit frustrating to work on. I would also think having an image search functionality would help. Brandfolder can already track duplication in the system, it shouldn't be hard to incorporate image search as part of functionality.
While I love the functionality of having no duplicates, it's hard as designer trying to upload one indesign working file that have links to multiple images but then if some of the images are deleted in the upload process because it's a duplicate, it'll be hard to track down the image. It's not a package system that automatically links the duplicate image instead whoever have to work with the indesign file will have to open the file and see that links to images are missing and then go into the brand folder to spent 5,000 thousands years to look for the image but typing the same exact name of the images might not populate that exact image so overall really hinders the process.
I highly recommend working with designers who uses photoshops, indesign, illustrator, after effects. Any of the people who work with Adobe will have feedback. Love brandfolder but it have a lot of area for improvement, I'd start with image search functionality like Google image. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The most clutch features in Brandfolder have been the SmartCDN is the CSV import/export process. The majority of our photo assets are coming off of physical hard drives and all we can identify them is by a project number. The ability to export a list of files to a csv, use look ups to place the appropriate meta data, and then just import the metadata into Brandfolder is fabulous. In addition, in order to unleash the full value of our photography, enabling our web developers with the SmartCDN features has allowed for a tremendous array of applications for our photography. Searching for Assets is easy for me as an adminstraor but terribly difficult for our sales teams. I wish the search could be more intuitive for non-techical users. Also, there is live support avaiable, but it seems they are never avaiable. Sometimes my requests take longer than 48 hours for a response. They do make up for the delay, normally every time I do get ahold of support they go above and beyond in helping me. I only wish they were more responsive when I raise the flag. I like being able to store all of our photos and creative materials in one central location. The platform makes it easier to categorize all of my materials so I can find what I need faster as well. I like being able to group items together to easily share my creative materials with our distributors who need it. I don't really need to use or keep track of the assets in Brandfolder often, but it's always a nice reference point when I need it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It was a little tricky to figure out how to use Brandfolder initially, I did have to be walked through it with a team member. Compared to file storing services like Box or DropBox, it was a little harder to navigate. I also don't like sometimes when I need to share items to outside users, it will sometimes show other companies in my organization to my reviewers, we had to work around by creating links of specific assets to people, and it can get tricky- especially if you need to add something to an existing link. Grouping of documents into collections and ease of tagging and sharing with teammates. Easy to use and upload new documents. It is customizable to your business needs. I use it multiple times a week to store the most current version of new content. It easily allows you to replace old files with new ones, just by giving them the same name. Very easy to implement. Sometimes it takes a long time to upload large files. It can also take a few days for customer support to get back to you with a response when you have a question. The help section/knowledge base should be more robust, but still has good information - it can be difficult to separate Brandfolder itself from SmartSheets help. The ease of sharing creative with our internal team as well as clients. I can quickly upload photos and videos which Brandfolder knows to select all new creative and gives me a link to share. You can also interate videos into website pages directly from Brandfolder and any edits will be automatically updated from that file. I use Brandfolder to add and download creative assets daily in my role. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Some sections can get slightly cluttered with brands that have more assets. It can take slightly longer to find older assets when digging through but we often use tags or the search function to help with this issue! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The support team at BF is so creative and solutions oriented. We have loved our introduction to the tool with our implementation team, they've beeng reat. The tool is intuitive and the Ai is beautiful. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I wish the integrations were more robust. Like the Print UI, canva, and printing itegrations could use work. They are serviceable but they could all be pushed further and that would create more holistic solutions for clients. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
