Unless you have a full-time Data person it is very rough going. We used up all our "one on-one" training hours in the migration of data from our previous databases to EveryAction leaving us a bit lost when we were supposedly ready to use the system. I think EA needed to do a better assessment of what our specific training needs were before we started the process. The assumption was everything would be taken care of in the training. We are a year into EA and still cleaning up data from the migration. **What problems is Bonterra EveryAction solving and how is that benefiting you?** Solving the problem of having two separate membership databases. The biggest criticism is that most problems can be solved by a 10-15 minute call or zoom chat, and it was never offered to me. The cohesion between the two meant I knew how to use EA because I knew VAN, and then I could build out our capabilities from there. **What do you dislike about Bonterra EveryAction?** Oftentimes I would log into AmericaVotes and I would be in EA, not AV. I once deleted an entire script because I needed it in EA not VAN, and it turns out I deleted the script in EA. That was a tragedy. Also, I'm not sure why, as an admin, I cannot edit other accounts. Super fustrating as I cannot set up trigger emails for new donors. The other issues is that that it pulls on my personal email and not my work email. EA sometimes has similar fields for different purposes. In particular, it is impossible to do queries with nested conditionals (e.g. with parentheses).
