What do you like best about Blackpoint Cyber?

These guys are personal, quick, and efficient. We're a mid-size MSP and have rolled out BPC to a good portion of our clients. Whenever there's an alert we get good info and response time from BPC and their team. They're great to work with. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Blackpoint Cyber?

Their billing is horrendous, difficult to follow and understand. We resolved this issue by bringing them under a reseller umbrella so we are now billed through that 3rd party who does a good job at billing. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Blackpoint Cyber?

Using Blackpoint cyber has given us confidence that we are protecting our clients with a best in breed solution. It is easy to implement and use. Integration into other products and our client environments are superb. The customer support is very responsive and helpful. They have an excellent mean time to resolve issues with they arise. There is not much that I dislike about Blackpoint cyber. If there is an opportunity for improvement I would say it would be nice to be able to get more details to be able to do analysis of things that are seen but not necessarily a threat that requires a response fron the SOC. Although Blackpoint MDR does a good job at reducing false positives, the alert system could be further refined to provide actionable intelligence more consistently. At times, the alerts are either too generic or too numerous, requiring additional time to sort through and assess.

Problem: Unfiltered Security Alerts

Before implementing Blackpoint MDR, our security operations center was inundated with a barrage of security alerts. This made it difficult to distinguish between real threats and false positives.

Benefit: Blackpoint's intelligent alerting system has effectively reduced the number of false positives. It provides a refined set of alerts that are genuinely worth investigating, allowing our analysts to focus their efforts on real threats.

Problem: Lack of 24/7 Monitoring

As an MSSP, Plante Moran is expected to provide round-the-clock security monitoring. However, human resources are limited, and having a dedicated team for 24/7 surveillance was challenging.

Benefit: Blackpoint's 24/7 monitoring service has filled this gap perfectly. Their analysts act as an extension of our own team, ensuring that any unusual activity is detected and acted upon promptly, irrespective of the hour.

Problem: Complexity of Threat Analysis

Today's cybersecurity landscape is highly complex, and often it takes specialized skill sets to analyze advanced threats.

Benefit: Blackpoint MDR offers a comprehensive suite of analytic tools that leverage AI and machine learning, simplifying the threat analysis process. This allows our staff to understand the nuances of an attack, facilitating more effective and timely responses.

What do you like best about Blackpoint Cyber?

Prior to Blackpoint Cyber, we evaluated several security solutions that fit the same profile- some were SOC only, some were services with SOC backing, etc. They all left things to be desired. We were referred to Blackpoint by Galactic Advisors, who are very trusted security specialists for us. We hit it off and immediately deployed as a core part of our stack. We have had several security interactions with the SOC, and it is always good. Their communications surrounding large events facing technology in general are timely, and my account manager Nicole is great. Blackpoint is one vandor amongst many who I will gladly take calls from because they are always good and informative and not overbearing sales calls. We deploy the SNAP agent with Powershell through our RMM, and deployment is seamless. Integration with our EDR also works great. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

One of the standout features of Blackpoint Cyber is their proactive approach to cybersecurity.
