What do you like best about Basware?

The process for approving invoices is easy to complete. Being able to search using different information to find invoices makes it easy to track down what you need. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Basware?

how quickly it times out. I don't stay in one program all day so when this one is open it ends up timing out during the time it takes me research information regarding the invoice the program has already timed out. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Basware?

All of my invoices are in one central location and can be accessed anytime. The top toolbar is clear and organized. When searching for invoices, I like how you can search by PO, Receipt #, ect so that your results are narrowed down and you only get exactly what you are searching for. What do you dislike about Basware?

The screen isn't always consistent when viewing my invoices from the notification center tab. Sometimes I can easily print my invoices in one click, but sometimes, I have to make multiple clicks to pull something. It would be nice to have a "view invoice" button that would automatically pop this up without clicking, downloading and opening an attachment. It would be nice to get an email notification when you have something in your notifications. I have to log in multiple times daily to check these as this is how my work is assigned to me with my role. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Basware?

The interface is pretty much very user friendly and love the dashboard make it more easy to navigate. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Basware?

1. There is no Basware forum

2. It's hard to get the answer you need when you try to search from Service Now portal

3. Most of the time it took forever to get the answer from Basware Support from the time you raise the ticket

4. Recently I have submit change request for EDI implementation and Basware already billed the subscription fee eventhough the project hasn't been tested and go through UAT. During that Basware support actually has delayed in response but nonetheless they already start the clock to bill us! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Basware?

It is an easy way to flow payments through to the correct approvers. It is set up in a way that is easy to follow and utilize even for new users. Additionally, it ensures all needed information is entered in which reduces inefficiencies. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Basware?

It would be nice if there was more flexibility to select who the workflow goes to (i.e. bypassing a reviewer when they are on vacation) - right now only specific people are able to do this. Additionally, it would be good if warnings could be set up by the team for common mistakes (i.e. when processing payments between 2 banks, we need to select Wire but many team members miss this). Helps with the approval of payments instead of getting manual signatures. Also, ensures all info needed is there. Therefore it is helpful. Can also include coding for the invoice to ensure it is coded to the correct accounts and is not missed. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Basware?

Super user-friendly platform, easy to train others with. Love the smart-coding feature which saves a lot of time. Overall, I think it is a very proficient platform to use for Accounts Payable. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Basware?

I do not like when there is a simple fix or typo after an invoice is reviewed/approved, but it must be returned all the way back to the person doing the Header Review level. Depending how long it takes for others to review, it can take extra long and delay payment even further when the solution was very minimal in fixing. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Basware solving and how is that benefiting you?

My role is at the Header Reviewer level, so my tasks include a lot of coding - for my role, I review many invoices from many departments and keeping track and invoices to code and what codes to use can sometimes feel subjective based on departments and what they identify invoices to be. The Smart-coding tool is a life saver - I love this feature. It just saves time in so many ways. I also like the "Duplicate" option for coding to save time as well. What do you like best about Basware?

I like Basware because this tool is really making my work easier. I like the home page, that all tasks are visibile and once it is all done there is a palm trees view and a coffee icon. I like option "Advanced search" it is really helpful in my daily work. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Basware?

Sometimes it works really slowly. It can interfere with the work and it is a little annoying. I also don't like that system log me out after a few minutes and when I going back I need to log in once again. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Basware?

It is a great system for managing, viewing spend and compiling everything into one place. The system Procure2Pay is a great idea. I have never used a competitor to be able to compare though also. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Basware?

It is not very user-friendly and the user experience is not that great for the end user. I find that raising purchase requisitions is glitchy and could use improvement. We also find it limited as we've built a purchase request system that feeds into Basware to overcome these challenges. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Basware?

As a Controller you like spend less time educating managers in Purchase to Pay systems as much as possible. Basware truly make the user experience easy for manager, minimizing my time spent on educating them so I can focus on more advanced tasks.

However Basware also supply me with the tools needed for analysis, detailed views and full ended Purchase to Pay control. I've worked with several invoice systems and I truly believe this is the best one ever used. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Basware?

Perhaps its a internal issue and not a Basware issue. But I do find the purchasing part difficult to work with sometimes. But I believe that is a internal issue more than a systematical issue.

By having a Procure/Purchase - to - Pay process its solving the one true problem that is "We have five systems that don't talk to each other-problem". You have everything in one place which is the main problem its solving.

What do you like best about Basware?

Shows me only what I need to see, with minimal distractions, quick process to raise POs and review invoices and that our finance team are able to check on our dashboards in case there is an issue. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Basware?

I can't look up other POs raised by other members of my team - a 'work group' function could fix this. Not everyone in my organisation is a reviewer, so it can become confusing knowing who to forward to. Half the time the invoices cannot be auto coded so I have to manually do it. What do you like best about Basware?

It's fast and it has many macros that greatly help to make invoice processing swift and easy, the interface is easy to understand and I haven't had any problems with loading speed. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

A lot of time the automatic information reading and smart coding doesn't work as inteded, sometimes invoices are lost or rejected for no reason and it's a little iffy about intended "errors". Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
