"Streamlined Procurement and Supplier Communication with SAP Ariba"
What do you like best about SAP Ariba?

I use SAP Ariba as my primary method for making purchase requests, as well as tracking those requests until either approved or converted into orders. Previously, we previously dealt with numerous requests via email which would often lead to confusion. Using SAP Ariba allows me to view precisely where a given request is located within the approval chain and who still has yet to approve it.

Most of what I perform as part of my job involves verifying the accuracy of supplier information, selecting items from catalogs, and verifying that appropriate budgets are established prior to submitting the actual request. I appreciate having all of this information recorded in one central location. For example, if someone inquires about a certain order dating back 2 months, I am able to quickly locate that order without having to search through multiple emails.

I don’t explore SAP Ariba, I simply utilize it as part of my everyday purchasing responsibilities, and have subsequently become accustomed to how it operates. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about SAP Ariba?

The menus were visually overwhelming at first.I didn't know where to actually find the things I needed for basic operations. For example, in order to edit requests after they're submitted, you may have to click multiple times before making the necessary change or updates.

If you update the supplier catalog and want to see those changes immediately, they may not show up right away, which can result in delays when you have to confirm a price significantly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Streamlined Procurement with Centralized Control"
What do you like best about SAP Ariba?

I like SAP Ariba for its ability to centralize and automate the entire procurement process in one platform. The sourcing and supplier management features really stand out, as they make it easier to run competitive bidding events and maintain accurate supplier data. I value the strong reporting and analytics capabilities, which provide clear spend visibility and support better decision-making. The integration with our SAP ERP systems enhances data consistency and operational efficiency across the organization. The sourcing features allow us to run structured RFQs and RFPs, compare supplier bids easily, and select vendors based on clear evaluation criteria, improving transparency and speeding up decision-making. The supplier management tools centralize vendor information and performance data, making onboarding more efficient and ensuring compliance. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about SAP Ariba?

While SAP Ariba is a powerful platform, some aspects could be improved. The system can be complex to configure and navigate, especially for new users, which often requires additional training and support. Certain workflows and customizations may be also feel rigid, making it challenging to adapt quickly to changing business needs. Improving user interface simplicity and reducing system complexity would enhance the overall user experience. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The Discovery module is highly efficient and makes it easy to select and find suppliers that the company has not worked with before. The screens are user-friendly and straightforward, which makes the overall experience smooth and accessible. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

There are many processes, and these can be difficult for end users, especially if they are not currently using them. Some features embedded in the system can also be challenging to use. Additionally, integration with the ERP side can be quite frustrating. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

In addition to what I mentioned earlier, I really value SAP Ariba’s strong integration capabilities with ERP systems, which ensure seamless data flow between procurement and finance. I appreciate the supplier risk and performance tracking features, which allow us to proactively monitor vendor reliability and mitigate potential risks. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

At this stage, SAP Ariba meets our procurement and supplier management needs very effectively. The platform is comprehensive, structured, and continuously evolving with enhancements that improve usability and functionality. "Streamlined Procurement with SAP Ariba"
What do you like best about SAP Ariba?

I like how easy it is to use the functionality in SAP Ariba. It's simple, quick, and easy to grasp the concept. The layout is very nice and user-friendly. It's not clunky or overcomplicated, which makes the overall experience enjoyable. The system is extremely easy to set up, especially with the SAP guides, and it's easy to work through and learn. I really appreciate how user-friendly it is, and most people can pick it up and get the hang of it by the end of the day. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about SAP Ariba?

We don't utilize the sort of the catalogs that are available in SAP Ariba. We raise everything as sort of, ad hoc. Purchase orders where we could be using and implementing all our supply catalogs to make our purchasing a lot easier. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Streamlined, Compliant Purchasing and Faster Approval Tracking with SAP Ariba"
What do you like best about SAP Ariba?

I use SAP Ariba for procuring office and work-related items, primarily IT equipment such as Apple devices and other accessories needed for daily operations. It helps streamline the purchasing process, ensures compliance with company policies, and makes tracking approvals and orders more efficient. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about SAP Ariba?

One downside of SAP Ariba is that the user interface can feel complex and occasionally slow, especially for new users. Some workflows require multiple steps for simple purchases, which could be streamlined to improve the overall user experience. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Streamlined Supplier Management, Challenging UX"
What do you like best about SAP Ariba?

I really appreciate how SAP Ariba makes collaborating with vendors smoother and provides clear visibility into spending and supplier performance. It helps me handle everything from finding and onboarding suppliers to managing contracts and processing purchase orders, all in one place. I like most that it brings clarity and organization to what used to be a complex, fragmented procurement process. The platform saves a lot of time and reduces the chance of errors by managing suppliers, contracts, and purchase orders efficiently. I especially appreciate the real-time visibility it provides into spending and supplier performance, which allows me to make informed decisions quickly. The collaboration tools are excellent and make vendor communication seamless, ensuring everyone is on the same page. The system simplifies a lot of manual work and makes the entire procurement process much more organized and manageable. Beyond functionality, Ariba’s structured workflows and intuitive interface make even complicated procurement tasks feel manageable, adding value to my daily operations and giving me confidence that nothing falls through the cracks. What do you dislike about SAP Ariba?

While SAP Ariba is a powerful platform, there are a few areas where it could be improved. Sometimes the system feels a bit overwhelming, especially for new users, due to the sheer number of features and modules, which can make navigation and finding specific tools slower than I’d like. Certain reporting functions feel rigid, limiting flexibility when I want to customize views or extract data in a specific format. Additionally, occasional delays in syncing supplier information or updates can be frustrating when I need real-time accuracy. Streamlining the interface, improving the speed of updates, and offering more intuitive customization options for reports and dashboards would make the overall experience much smoother and more efficient. "Centralized, Efficient, but 'Clicky' UI"
What do you like best about SAP Ariba?

I like SAP Ariba's Guided Buying feature, which provides a user-friendly, consumer-grade shopping experience that directs employees to preferred suppliers at pre-negotiated rates, ensuring compliance while making purchasing intuitive. I also appreciate the SAP Business Network, which offers immediate access to the world's largest digital marketplace, connecting over 5 million companies. This makes supplier discovery and real-time collaboration seamless across global markets. The centralized data and visibility feature is great, as it provides a single source of truth for all procurement activities, eliminating the need to hunt through disparate spreadsheets or email chains. This allows for better tracking of spend and contract compliance. Additionally, I find the end-to-end visibility incredibly helpful in mitigating risks like supply chain disruptions by enabling real-time tracking of orders, shipments, and payments. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about SAP Ariba?

I have to improve the slowness issue. The user interface and complexity are problematic. The 'clicky' navigation means the overall user experience is often non-intuitive and overly complex, requiring many clicks to complete simple tasks. Initial setup for SAP Ariba is complex, characterized as a comprehensive enterprise undertaking rather than a simple plug-and-play process. While its cloud-based nature eliminates the need for on-premise hardware, the configuration of business logic remains complex. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Disciplined Global Procurement with Strong Sourcing, Onboarding, and Contract Governance"
What do you like best about SAP Ariba?

SAP Ariba’s biggest strength is the discipline it brings to global procurement. At Honeywell, we benefit most from its structured sourcing events, standardized supplier onboarding, and strong contract governance. The platform helps enforce compliance, improves visibility across business units, and centralizes supplier data—making large-scale sourcing and risk management much more controlled, consistent, and predictable. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about SAP Ariba?

SAP Ariba’s biggest weaknesses tend to show up in everyday use. The interface feels unintuitive, the navigation is dated, and even simple tasks often take too many clicks to complete. Integrations can also be fragile, particularly when working across complex Honeywell ERPs. Reporting comes across as rigid, and the supplier onboarding workflows feel slower and less streamlined than what I’d expect from modern procurement platforms. "Great Visibility, but Costly and Complex"
What do you like best about SAP Ariba?

I really appreciate the ease of accounting activity in the platform, especially when dealing with big companies that also use SAP Ariba. I like how the clients' PO issuance and tracking of payment approvals are visible, as this feature is crucial for any accounting platform. The exclusivity of working on the platform just for a specific organization or company is something I find beneficial. Another aspect I like is that all transactions are visible on the client dashboard, which makes it much easier for me to track and manage their accounts. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about SAP Ariba?

I don't like that the subscription fee is costly. There's also too much downtime and the hassle of network certificate renewal is frustrating. The initial setup was quite hard work with each function being complex and the need to navigate too many tabs and pages. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
