I like Acumatica's configuration flexibility and data management/transparency. The ability to export/import data and provide in-system data analytics is valuable as it saves the lag involved in moving to an external warehouse for reporting and analytics. I find the construction task structure in Acumatica relatively complex and inflexible compared to the rest of the system. It has a dependency on unit of measure alignment and hard connections of tasks to production orders. Also, the initial setup of Acumatica wasn't easy for our team. I am less proficient in ARM than I am in Excel. Being able to translate and create reporting easily within Acumatica using intuitive operations or commands would be a game changer. I often do not know where to begin with the language or commands within the ARM report writer. Our implementation was difficult as our original VAR did not provide much guidance. Our intention was to use Acumatica out of the box as much as possible however we have found some of the reports do not provide the level of detail we require. I like how user-friendly Acumatica is and the large access to information it provides. It solves problems so well, and if there's an issue, it's probably just me not knowing how to use it better. The modules and reports are set up the same way, so there's no need to learn multiple systems. Acumatica does it all in one. Receiving material can be cumbersome because you have to access multiple screens just to enter it into the system. We could benefit from having an OCR tool that allowed us to scan the packing slip, with that auto lookup the PO and receive the qty of items on the packing list. Some of the controls around the post period in the allocation screen in the construction module. Often it will try to post based on transaction date instead of post period. In the allocation rule or on the allocation screen, I would like the option to select a financial period to post to rather than only the transaction date. I really like Acumatica's flexibility in accessing our data in several ways, like downloading to Excel and integrating with our websites. It's great that we can continually grow and evolve our system to fit our needs. The integration with Velixo simplifies functions and reports, while the Shopify integration has been a big time saver and improves our retail customer experience. I like the ability to customize screens and visibility in Acumatica. It really helps with inventory tracking and user-friendly data entry. Users are more easily able to adopt the system alongside tracking manufacturing inventory and processes. I find navigating certain screens when building generic inquiries (GIs) challenging. It's difficult to explain what users are able to access to new admins; there's more needed than just clicking around—there should be an explanation of what these clicks do.
