We've used Acumatica for about 4 years, and this is the first year I've attended the Summit. I'm glad I did because I can see the product roadmap and Acumatica's committment to continuing to upgrade their platform to make it more efficient, extensible, and user-friendly. I wish there were some straightforward video-based courses for tech-savvy admins... people who are not quite developers, but who might need to customize their Acumatica instance to fit business requirements. Other platforms have simple scripting languages (e.g., NetSuite: node, Odoo: python) - the ability to quickly deploy complex logic to processes would be very helpful... c# is not as popular and there is more of a barrier to entry with Visual Studio. The community which is comprised of all aspects of the ecosystem. The ease of learning and the ROI vs the competition is unparalleled. Customizations if required are easy to perform and work with future versions of the Platform. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The Value Addred Reseller model, if you have a good VAR its great, but if you have an under performing VAR it can be diffict to disolve that relationship and persure a replacemnet. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I'm into my 11th month using Acumatica and I can honestly say it's more expansive than any other platform I've seen before. I see great potential but... Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Acumatica is built with very large, multinational clients in mind. Picture Toyota for example. The kind of large corporation that has an entire building full of IT professionals who will design and customize every user facing screen the average employee might see. This is NOT a turnkey platform. It's the engine hidden underneath whatever glossy exterior you can imagine. The problem is, right out of the box, you don't even have that engine yet. You'll get the parts for that engine. And there's not "some" assembly required. It's ALL assembly is required! The nuts and bolts you need for that assembly are like a giant basket of scrabble tiles each containing a word that only software engineers can understand. You quickly find out your only option is to pay enormous sums of money just to make the engine run. Congrats, you now have the equivalent of a moped and you're trying to drive on the highway. So you pony up and ask them to assemble a car. It arrives but wait.. no wheels? I'm sorry, wheels are extra. I know this is a silly analogy, but it's pretty close. I'm an accountant with 25 years of experience. In all my travels, I've never come across software that's both so vast yet can't do the most basic things when you first install it. Acumatica kinda knew what a balance sheet was but I literally had to map out every single pixel before I could print out anything that resembles one! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It is easy to utilize the software to pull data that can be used for great analsys. Very customizable and limitless users at the same pricing. Able to put in thoughts for improvements and they listen to their customers. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
scheduling didn't work for custom fab when we first signed up. There was not a way to do parallel processing. see the good points for how they deal with this - they listen and work to improve. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The software works from a base that can be built upon using different modules that allow a company to use unique resources from different industries. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
This is not really a bad thing, but it is so comprehensive and flexible that it is a bit overwhelming for a new user. I feel like I have barely scratched the surface of what the software is able to do. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
You can customize to fit your company's needs. Easy to maneuver, learn. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Creating GI's or knowing how to select certain tables to create Gi's can be a little confusing if you do not have an IT background. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
What I like best about Acumatica is the ability to customize it to meet needs. Generally, there are many ways that can be taken advantage of that don't require coding, but when a new field or bit of logic is necessary, it is possible to make those updates. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I don't like not having visibility into the sql tables when using saas unless i create a test environment and import a snapshot. Snapshots often break down due to size. Also, if a laptop isn't perfectly set up with IIS and SQL Server, it is very difficult to fix. I've followed the instructions several times and had to move on. The software needs a lot of training time to utilize its full capabilities or needs outside resources, including consultants and developers, to do the modification or the customization that company is looking for. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
