What do you like best about Act-On?

We use Act-On for corporate emails and for local offices to access professional templates to send to their clients. We're happy with the user interface, the automation capabilities, and the data studio/analytics programs. The support team is also great - they're quick to respond and proactive about upcoming changes in the email marketing world. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Act-On?

I wish that Act-On could expand its capabilities in the email composer. There isn't a way to have a snippet of content that can be easily used across multiple email templates. There are also minor quirks with the sales user access, but none that interfere with the core functionalities. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Act-On solving and how is that benefiting you?

We use Act-On to communicate with approximately 650,000 clients across various service lines - both B2B and B2C. We're able to connect to 3 unique CRM systems and have a robust local marketing program using Act-On. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Act-On?

The customer service is extremely quick to respond and resolve issues. I was able to book a meeting with a support representative within 3 hours and they spent time on a Zoom call with me making sure we solved the issue, then provided some follow-up materials to mitigate future issues. The representative was very helpful and friendly, and the customer service experience overall is one of the smoothest I've experienced from any company.

As for the actual product, once you get the hang of the program, the automations are quite easy to set up and implement. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Act-On?

What do you like best about Act-On?

I appreciate Act-On's general clarity of usage. For the things I know how to do, I can always clearly see a path to them, and I am able to figure out different questions I have about the things I know using the tools Act-On presents. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Act-On?

Two things:

1. There are a lot of things within Act-On that I have not been shown how to use and therefore do not understand. There seems to be a lot of unused potential. Whenever I sign up for Act-On webinars to learn more about a feature, what I'm wanting (a step-by-step show of the tools I'm interested) is never fulfilled, but rather a lengthy powerpoint that brings more confusion and frustration. I wish there were clear "how-to" videos for various tools that showed someone on the Act-On homepage.

2. There are a few limitations in Act-On that I have not seen in other platforms such as Mailchimp. Especially within the realm of email creation, I'll bring up things to our email developer and he will say "we're not able to do that with Act-On", which just brings frustration. What problems is Act-On solving and how is that benefiting you?

Act-on is awesome. It's so easy to use and has a ton of cool features like drag-and-drop layouts, tables, dynamic content with if-then functionality, events, tables, landing pages, polling...oh, and did I mention it integrates seamlessly with your Salesforce contact lists? What do you like best about Act-On?

My clients and I use it for a range of different reasons and that's what is so great about Act-On! From the initial implementation of lead scoring and web forms for gated content, it significantly helps support our demand gen efforts. Data is easy to manage and form-fill alerts are quick to set up, meaning that my clients are notified of all opportunities and results. The drag-and-drop email builder is very easy to use and with templates and duplication features, it's quick to get going with repeat or similar campaigns in the future. What do you dislike about Act-On?

The tracking tools in Act-On can be useful as it shows when users have clicked emails and viewed media that was linked in emails, but like most marketing automation platforms, sometimes these can be spam filter opens/views. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Act-On makes most of our MarTech tasks faster and automated, which saves us time. At a marketing agency that bills on an hourly rate, that is really helpful, because it means we can achieve results in less time and clients pay less for those results. It's a win-win situation.
