The platform is easy to use and navigate without having to be a coding expert. The WYSIWYG editor is user friendly. It's easy to toggle between HTML and visual view when creating emails. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I primarily use it as an account support to over 100 users. It would be nice to have a way to communicate directly to the users within the platform. Act-On has several functionalities -- triggered emails, scheduled deployments, nurture campaigns, forms and more -- that allow marketing teams to achieve a variety of goals. I have yet to find a task that can't be achieved with Act-On, although I may need to ask their team for guidance. I enjoy being able to preview an email on mobile and desktop, test it with any email addresses I want, easily add new "from" email addresses, schedule sends, and review detailed analytics after deployment. Act-On is pretty costly, so if you're not utilizing all of its functions, it might not be worth it to invest. There could also be some more explanations/warnings in the system. For example, I once rearranged the order of our subscription lists, not knowing it would screw everything up. There was no warning or message given and it wasn't until I mentioned it to an Act-On rep that I learned how severe my action was. Also, the support team is very helpful when I have a question or issue, but I would love if they could be more proactive. We have monthly calls with them but they typically just ask if we have questions and share upcoming webinar dates. I'd rather they offer ideas for underutilized functions, provide tips to increase open/click rates and compare stats to industry benchmarks, inform new staff of all of Act-On's capabilities, etc. Lastly, I'd love if we could (1) hand-select several emails and get combined performance metrics for them and (2) add more users without additional cost. I really like the personalization aspect of Act-On. My marketing manager, our graphic designer and I - we can all collaborate together how we want our email campaigns to look. We are able to design them and cater to our specific audiences. I have been using Act-On for the last 10+ years and I would absolutely recommend their services to everyone. The library of templates, the recent updates on the email composer which will make it easier for us to build beautiful emails and our account management team who has been super supportive and easy to work with.

Discrepancy on the metrics, in particular since September last year we have been experimenting a lot of discrepancy and almost unable to use the analytics add-on report. We are hoping for a solution.

Act-On has helped our B2B business segment and market our expertise and solutions to the target audiences we want. By working with our Dynamics CRM, we have an ease of use with Act-On that makes our marketing automation run smoothly and efficiently. The one aspect about our Act-On use that I appreciate the most is the customer support. Prior to the most recent development upgrade, the main aspect was the lack of formatting combinations that were available to the average customer who didn't want to get into using the custom/HTML coding blocks. Now, the most recent upgrade has cured a lot of that. There are always developments that could be made, but Act-On has shown that they continue to address on a rolling basis. The only suggestions I have for changes are allowing certain windows to stay open after you complete the task, provide a summary window when scheduling emails like legacy had, and when reviewing the scheduled emails to have the name of the job in the email proof window. As Act-On is still growing, the features within the system are still growing. We semi-regularly run into things that have "fixes" or "ways to do it simpler" on other platforms but are still in development with Act-On. Act-On is the best tool for B2B email marketing I've found. It is powerful in what you can accomplish in the platform and has plenty of useful integrations.
Other platforms are great for getting started but if you've outgrown more basic email-sending platforms it's time to level your game and strategy.

Sometimes the CRM integration seems to have issues and I've seen some errors synching our contact database. And while the new email composer is great and allows for mobile and desktop designs, sometimes it has trouble detecting which device it's sending to and will show both designs to a user.
