The service is difficult to work with when you're working on a joint press release. They have strange policies about headlines, and won't allow any entity other than the issuing party be described as taking action in headlines and ledes. These policies created an artificial bottleneck the last time I submitted a release. The headline and lede in the final draft I was attempting to submit had already received approval from all parties involved, and I was forced to seek additional approvals prior to submission (and thankfully, I received them same-day — this could have delayed our release and derailed our strategy). Support was unhelpful. I dealt with the same individual via email and over the phone. He declined to describe the policy he was citing for not approving our release after being challenged, which made it feel like he was simply doubling down on a rule he had arbitrarily made up.
On top of that, the placements generated by Accesswire have little actual value. I got better results when I handled pitching directly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
