The key benefite for us when the Sensu is integrated with RedHat OpenStack version 16, This is our main driver to incorporate it into our cloud while the main vendor property product don't support this OSP version. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Sensu is a web-based application for IT management, application performance management, network monitoring, server management, and website monitoring. It is the system of identifying the issue in the It systems and networks, server performance; tells about the performance of the servers in the network monitoring, bandwidth monitoring, dashboard, internet usage monitoring, network diagnosis, SLA monitoring, server monitoring, uptime monitoring, CPU monitoring, Email monitoring, virtual machine monitoring, Alerts/Notifications, Availability Testing, Event Logs, FTP Monitoring, Mail Server Monitoring, Maintenance Scheduling, Performance Metrics, and uptime reporting. What do you dislike about Sensu?

This application is not available for the Mac, Windows, iPhone, Ipad, and Android devices. It has unique features for its management purpose but it does not have all the features for its complete uniqueness. It lacks the following features access control, inventory management, license management, maintenance scheduling, patch management, baseline manager, resource management, credential management, scheduling, real-time monitoring, and transaction monitoring. These features are very useful but it lacks all these features it is a great disadvantage of this application. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Sensu solving and how is that benefiting you?

My overall experience with this application is good because the most useful and advanced features of this application are capacity management which helps the users to manage the capacity of the It framework, compliance management, issue auditing; for monitoring and management purpose. What do you like best about Sensu?

The push/pull architecture makes Sensu super flexible, able to handle traditional deployments as well as cloud-native autoscaled / bursted workloads. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Sensu?

RabbitMQ can be complicated to operate at times. Also, some of the flexibility of Sensu encourages bad patterns, like writing smart monitoring scripts instead of having smarter health checks in the app. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering Sensu:

Make sure you look at using Sensu 2.0 - which is rewritten in golang and removes the dependency on RabbitMQ. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Sensu solving and how is that benefiting you?

Ensuring reliability for a SaaS platform in order to meet customer SLAs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
