First and foremost, the platform is very userfriendly and easy to navigate for both project managers and linguists. It comes with all the necesarry features a professional translator needs in order to perform their work, including TM's, TB's, concordance search, QA, comments, find and replace functionality and much more. It also offers the oportunity to see translations of the same segments that you're working on in more languages, which I find quite usefull to ensure ToV consistency when working on projects with other Nordic languages. Sometimes it seems that not all QA issues are captured when running the QA check. This eventually means it's necessary to run it multiple times until all issues has been registered (and solved), before the project can be set to "complete". Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Phrase tries to cover all angles. It is intuitive to use, the learning curve is steep. When I demonstrate this cloud-based CAT environment to my students it only takes a few minutes to get them up and running. The only thing that makes me grumble once in a while is the constant evolution of the product. Naturally, that is a good and inevitable thing that applies to any successful software. As a university teacher, I like the simplicity and integrity of the system; the students can quickly grasp the essentials of translation management, trying both sides of a translation project - the role of a linguist and that of a project manager. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The problems are not connected with Memsource itself, but with academia being somewhat out of touch with the real translation industry tasks, challenges, and workflows. It might be difficult for beginners to simulate true-to-life working situations. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The interface is intuitive. Easy to collaborate and work in team. Cool automatization features. Customer Support. The main disadvantage is that sometimes working with large projects is problematic, often the site glitches and half of the translations are not saved, but overall my impressions are positive. Also i would like you to improve filter for segments. Some times you need to find some sort of word, but starting with a capital letter, not small letter. As the result you get all of them. I'll try to explain it to you. For example I would like to replace word "One"(capital letter!!!). If i use a filter on the word "One", I get all kind of that word. Using the Phrase Localization Platform allows me to benefit from a CAT tool that is extremely easy to use, implementing projects is a breeze and every time I reach out to customer support, I get a reply within only a few hours, which is great in an environment where time is of the essence.

I use Phrase every day, it's my main tool for work as a translator. The many features it has allows me to do everything and anything I want. It's also very easy to integrate when I need to set up a fellow translator in the system or if I have a huge project going.

There aren't too many downsides to using Phrase. The only thing is you really need to make sure to check your settings for AI MTUs so that you don't run out. Help from the AI is really useful but if you rely on it too much, it can become a problem.

While Phrase has changed it's AI MTUs settings so that they get used up quickly if you don't look into your settings, the AI does a tremendous job. It's just a matter of tweaking your settings accordingly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Well for me the downsides of this tool called Phrase is because every work that I finish in case I do something wrong I wont be able to go back and fix it, I would like a small feature that can tell me like "Are you sre to complete this work and close your access to Phrase once completed" something like. En nuestra empresa, dimos un gran salto cualitativo al empezar a utilizar Phrase Strings. Nos ha permitido optimizar la gestión multilingüe de nuestro producto y lo usamos diariamente. Un gran avance con respecto a cómo lo gestionábamos anteriormente.

La implementación ha sido larga al tener que adaptar nuestro código a Phrase y aún sentimos que tiene mucho margen de mejora en ciertos detalles para el uso diario (filtros, integraciones, la base terminológica, conexión entre proyectos, mejora de analíticas), pero, aún así, en nuestro trabajo diario es más que suficiente.

- To keep the overview as Project Manager is not that perfect. I like the "Jobs" section to get a good overview, but still some features are missing there, so you need to switch quite often to the "Projects" section. The "Projects" section is not very user-friendly.

- I am missing a lot a global search within TMS. F. ex. if you want to check, where a term has been used and translated (in different projects and/or jobs) it a nightmare, because there is no global search available. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I love the fact that Phrase Localization Platform has a built in version control system that records every change made in the localization process. It allows there to be no confusion upon revisiting previous translations, and where to begin from. For this reason, this feature has proven to be key when we have to constantly update our products, because it allows us to avoid conflict translations and working as a group becomes much nicer. The major drawback of Phrase Localization Platform is that it lacks an intuitive error handling mechanism. The platform does provide some alerts, but they are never specific to the problem and do not provide actionable suggestions to resolve them. With translation uploads coming up errors sometimes occur, and since these errors aren’t always too obvious and thus not easy to solve, it can be frustrating the times that errors do happen when interpreting.
