Zipbooks is an excellent overall accounting & finance software. It is almost a complete solution & makes it easier to keep track of all your business finances, invoices, bills, payroll & expenses. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The basic version only carries bery basic needs for keeping track. Specially if you run agency with multiple project cost centres, the subscription becomes quite expensive Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Zip books stands out for their ease of use, clean interface, and ability to track every financial aspect of your freelance business. What I love is that they offer a free plan which allows for unlimited invoices and unlimited customers. Nobody else does this. The Zip books free plan is ideal if you run a freelance business and send E-invoices, but you do not need live time tracking. I picked ZipBooks for this feature after using and testing ten or so other online providers...from tiny to popular, I have tried them all. I quickly realized I would benefit from time tracking. The plan for adding real-time time tracking, though, is very affordable! At the time of this review, they beat the competition in pricing. I love how fast I can create a project in the app and get right to work. When I am ready to invoice, I simply create a new invoice, choose the customer name, and the system finds, adds, and calculates the time spent, then adds it to the invoice. My old workflow involved using an online invoicing system and another 3rd party tracker so while time tracking was easy, invoicing was such a process that I procrastinated until the end of the month. Zipbooks allows me to use one app for everything! I also love how their invoice notification looks in an email. Simple, clean, and modern with a large Pay Now button that your customers can easily click.
Another great feature is the ease of navigation when logged in. The side panel has a list of options you can click on to navigate different aspects of your business. Additionally, when clicking on items you have never used, it automatically shows a window with instructions on using the feature. I also love that if you have questions, there is an instant chat button always available when logged in. No clicking other places to find a contact us button. Every time I have had an issue, my questions are answered in real-time and quickly!

The only downside I have come across is invoice customization. They seem only to offer one invoice template, and while the template is clean and beautiful, you can only change a few preferences related to what you want your invoice to include. Other than accent color, which can be changed, the layout of the invoice remains the same no matter which of the ten or so preferences you change. Zipbooks is a great tool for accounting. It saves you a lot of time, which you can then use for value adding activities. Automatizing invoice creation is really simple, you can track your staffers and much more. The price of the software is more than okay, you get a lot of software for small money. If the well written documentation cannot help you, the customer service is really great and eager to guide you through every problem you encounter. You will certainly notice that the software is mainly for US customers. You can only add American bank accounts, which is a pity since we are not situated in the united states. I hope they will improve and support other countries as well. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It is a program to take easily the finances of your company, mostly functional for small and medium enterprises because it has the right tools to keep track of their accounting in an organized manner, you do not need to have a great prior knowledge to use it because it is easy to operate, its interface is easy to use and fast to manage in it. I am a long time ZipBooks user. I am also an IT Consultant so I install and support the "Q" products as per my clients request. ZipBooks is in my opinion where solutions should be, truly Cloud based, intuitive, accurate, simple and reliable. Having said that all solutions will throw a glitch at you once in a while and ZipBooks support personnel are right there to help, right within the App itself. ZipBooks really has to be used through a browser. On a mobile device this can be challenging. I am also a G Suite user and wish my G Suite contacts were synchronized with ZipBooks contacts. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
