It does something that some competitors do not do: It has a client portal so clients can find all pending invoices or previous invoices. It will also auto-charge credit cards for recurring payments. The costs are reasonable and it's easy to get started. **What do you dislike about FreshBooks?** When Freshbooks upgraded their interface, it became slow to use. So much so, that it caused us to make mistakes, waiting for the interface to catch up. It went from recommended solution, to something we needed to migrate away from. **What problems is FreshBooks solving and how is that benefiting you?** Getting paid is essential to any business, so any solution that allows us to capture our time and make sure clients are billed on time is key. The recurring billing is big in the services space, so having a platform to automate that portion of billing saved a considerable amount of time. The channel partnerships team that DIDNT suggest Kate Josephine Johnson (she is the only reason I've been able to use this succsesfully), that there was not a better onboarding/implementation support process. That if you take a pciture of a receipt when you have it it will always create a duplicate expense that you have to copy/paste/move later. The matching for Quickbooks is far superior. I've started losing receipts or having dupes. Neither is good. Also the email address for submitting receipts is clunky/bad. That Clients/Vendors aren't the same thing. That Bills don't integrate. That there's no way to carry a balance that rolls over on invoices. The app is a fraction of the functionality of quickbooks' app. Your prices are almost the same as quickbooks but the application is not really as good. I like the time tracking much better though so I'm sticking with you for a while. **What problems is FreshBooks solving and how is that benefiting you?** Now that I understand how to use it successfully, I don't need to hire a bookkeeper. So Progress Billing isn't as functional as it could be. In addition to that, it doesnt change the invoice number so I add letters to that invoice number as I progress bill. Allowing me to link my bank account. (Which needs a bit of work. It often unlinks) Creating proposals. Seeing that a client has view an email. Too much to name. –I'm going to add what needs to be fixed here. Since there's no other place to do it. – Freshbooks is amazing all except for the milage tracking. I used the auto tracking where I went through all the steps to let it track my location, (set to always, set to precise location) all the steps Freshbooks mentioned. And it never tracked my location accurately. It would always calculate the route with straight short distances, shorting my miles. 

So, I started doing everything manually, but that’s a hassle too, because if I have to input each location, 4 times per day worked. And there’s not option to save address.

So, if I work 1 day at a particular studio and drive from my home to that location. I have to type in my address, then the location address for the “To” deduction. Then driving back home, I have to retype the studio location, then my home address for the “from” deduction. If I do this 3-4 times a week, it gets incredibly tedious. Not to mention it makes me input a time (which I’d like the option to bypass) but at the very least it would be nice to not have it track my phone’s time. And use last inputed time so it doesn’t keep incrementally changing as I spend the time manually typing each address in for the week. ### 50.
