I love the fact that everything is just a bullet point list. Bullet points is how I typically take my notes and Workflowy empowers me to do it more efficiently. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The CSS, especially around doashboards, could be improved. App looks ok, but probably could look a bit better.
I would also appreicate number of used/remaining bullets visible somewhere (or easier to fidn if its already there). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The infinite bullet list with infinite indentation allows very rapid organisation of notes across multiple domains. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I would like to be able to insert simple tables as bullet items Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I like the hierarchical structure of Workflowy. As a long-time Evernote I've been waiting for them to allow this type of note structure, but in vain. If I want to arrange what I'm learning in a structured way, so I can easily review it and change the linkages in ways which suit me as my knowledge changes (hopefully increases 😜) then Evernote does not make this easy. Workflowy also has "Email to Workflowy" enable (as per EN) but using Zapier which is fine.
I am liking Workflowy a lot - having cycled through Obsidian (obscure), Notion (complex), Clickup (not for me), I am now on Workflowy - Evernote. That's working well. I am swapping stuff over to Workflowy and whether it's a complete swap I don't know yet. But I like Workflowy's simplicity. It also works fast (EN is annoyingly slow sometimes.)
The WF mobile app is not so easy, but I can cope with that - it's not a deal breaker and I guess it will improve over time. I'll put more effort into learning the ios shortcuts at some point but I am mainly PC so not a biggie.
I like Workflowy a lot. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
IOS version could be improved but it's "OK". Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
What I like is that it gives you full control without limitations. Every idea; node can be rearranged without any restrictions. The mobile app works just as good as the desktop version. You can personalize it with icons and emojis and finally the word search is awesome and clean; once you find a word, you have the freedom to rearrange the nodes in your search. What I dislike is that there is no intergration with Readwise yet. A full integration will really take the experience to another level. Everyone has something that they have highlighted. I believe that our highlights will be able to really come alive in Workflowy.
Second is inability to search words in other languages. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I love that workflowy is simple yet powerful. I can easily organize (and reorganize) my todos, and the powerful search capability makes it possible for me to have a history of my work.
Also, the easy sharing model makes collaboration a breeze.
I've kept my personal todo list in workflowy for more than a decade, and we've also tracked company-wide, department-level sprint goals for more than 300(!) two-week sprints. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
After 12 years of history, it's a bit slow on the initial load sometimes. But, given how much I have in there, I'm not mad. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The ability to change the view to show the information you want.
The search tool is very useful as the amount of information stored grows.
Mirroring allows me to keep a project view and a current view of any item, and update them without concern for missing information. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Mirrored items should be more obvious (not just a diamond instead of a circle). Color? Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I love the ease of creating, moving, and finding content in Workflowy. I also love the ability to easily share individual nodes or pages to summarize notes or action items. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I don't dislike anything, but there are a few features I wish were included:
1. A "collapse all" command to clean up everything.
2. A few more "pro" themes, similar to the number of dark themes that Obsidian has available.
3. The ability to forward an email to workflowy to create a task Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It's free and extremely simple to use. I use it to plan out launches, keep my business projects running smoothly, and keep track of what I need to do on a daily and weekly basis. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Sometimes the interface is a bit clunky and moving items within a task is challenging. Otherwise, I love this tool for what it is...a simple, no-frills way to organize my projects. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I love the very fast note-taking capabilities. The bullet list structure with sub-lists is incredibly useful for the way I take notes, and the ability to view a sub-list in a separate window is great. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I would prefer to have more options for formatting, such as larger headings or other styling options to differentiate notes. You also only have one file that all notes are taken in, which may not be preferable for some people. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I like how amazingly flexible and powerful Workflowy is. I started using it just for its outlining capabilities – which are great. But the more I use Workflowy, the more I realize the many more things it can handle, and handle well. Fast, reliable, and just really well designed. Also, new features always seem to be judiciously chosen and well implemented – keeps getting better and better. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The one thing Workflowy is missing for me is share-sheet functionality on iOS. That would be a really powerful addition because it would make it so much faster and easier to throw stuff into Workflowy from my phone and iPad. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
