What do users say?

Generated using AI from real user reviews
Users consistently praise Windfall for its accurate wealth data and exceptional customer service, which enhance their fundraising strategies and donor engagement. The platform's seamless integration with existing CRMs and its ability to provide actionable insights are frequently highlighted as key benefits. However, some users note that it primarily focuses on individuals with a net worth of $1 million or more, which may limit broader outreach opportunities.

"Windfall is an excellent tool"
5/5
What do you like best about Windfall?

Windfall is a great tool for taking wealth screening into account for nonprofit development work. It integrates well with Neon CRM, and I have been impressed by their support and resources sharing best practices. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Windfall?

A decent percentage of people do not match in Windfall, but that is baked into a system designed around accurate and high-quality data. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Valuable Existing Donor Insights Allowing for Strategic Appeals"
5/5
What do you like best about Windfall?

Windfall gives us wealth insights into donors who have already connected with our organization in some way (current or past donor, volunteer, or event attendee). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Windfall?

Windfall only reports on donors with a net worth of $1M or more. I think we could do even more targeted outreach if the baseline was a bit less, $500K or $750K, especially for younger donors still building wealth. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Excellent for Discovering Hidden Donors and Streamlining Outreach"
5/5
What do you like best about Windfall?

It is a great tool for finding hidden gem donors and lapsed donors. It helps me filter my pipeline and narrow in on who to focus my energy with outreach. The customer support has also been wonderful! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Windfall?

I am still learning all the tools and wish I had time to learn the software better. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Really good product, excellent customer service support"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Windfall?

The net worth ratings do appear to be accurate, for the most part, and attributed to the correct people. It is easy to self-serve lists for screening in the portal. Unlimited runs of data in the contract year is a big plus, so you can run lots of data, in big or small batches, as much as you want. They do provide various wealth markers (Y/N columns for ownership of multiple properties, or exotic cars, etc) in addition to the net worth estimate. It's data that is easily interpretable, and gift officers respond well to the simplicity of what it is -- pure wealth estimate. Customer support is always very responsive, and they are proactive in reaching out to schedule check-ins. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Windfall?

The data output is just an excel spreadsheet, so it does feel like there is some definite process planning you have to sort out to make sure the data gets where it needs to go to be helpful and integrated into your other reporting. I forget if they have any integrations with CRMs -- if they do, that would be very helpful (but is also an additional cost). Windfall is also a little pricey considering it ONLY screens for people with $1 million+ net worth. So you have to supplement with other wealth screeners if you want a comprehensive picture of your pipeline from annual fund up through major gifts. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Amazing resource for fundraisers everywhere."
5/5
What do you like best about Windfall?

We were looking for a robust alternative to iWave, and one that integrated cleanly with Hubspot. Windfall checks all of those boxes, *and* the support team is amazing to work with. We've been using Windfall for a few months now, and just added another subscription to a different product. We've also canceled iWave and I doubt we'll ever look for another wealth screening tool again. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Windfall?

Honestly, I love Windfall, I love the team, and I really love how affordable the product is. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Windfall is a great wealth screening platform!"
5/5
What do you like best about Windfall?

I am grateful for the wealth screening data points Windfall provides for our donor pool. I've come to rely very heavily on the set of fields we've opted to pull in on our donor contact records in Salesforce. It is very helpful to be able to identify prospects because they've generated this wealth screening information. It allows our development team to determine what group of people to focus on for tailored stewardship and engagement opportunities. We also really enjoy working with McCurdy and Lauren who are both warm, kind and extremely knowledgeable in the fundraising space and help us get the most out of our Windfall integration that we intend to use indefinitely! What do you dislike about Windfall?

I don't dislike anything about Windfall, but wish that it could include age of our donors. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Windfall"
5/5
What do you like best about Windfall?

My organization has used Windfall for about 7 months, and this product has been extremely helpful for us as we look to navigate the most ideal donor prospects. Their initial onboarding was very straighforwad and implementing their product was very easy. Because of their services, we have been able to identify individuals that would otherwise slip under our radar. We frequently use Windfall in all of our reporting. It has helped provide us a more complete picture of what our population really looks like, and where to find them. The customer service has been superb as well! Seth is always available to quickly answer questions, and always guides us on the correct path. I highly recommend their services to any organization that is looking to boost their prospect pool and find high-quality donors. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Excellent wealth screening tool with added functionality"
5/5
What do you like best about Windfall?

In addition to providing net worth, it provides numerous key datapoints such as political party affiliation, if they have a trust, have experienced a wealth event, etc. In addition it has LinkedIn built in which provides employer information and a link to their individual LinkedIn profile (other companies sell that as a standalone product!). It als integrates with our Salesforce database which enables us to combine it with reports and assists with segmenting our mass emails. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Windfall?

Would be nice if it provided a target ask range. Though some of the other vendors I've experienced who have this it isn't all that accurate anyways. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Windfall remains an essential asset for data-driven fundraising. I highly recommend it to development professionals looking to enhance donor engagement and strategy. What do you dislike about Windfall?

Windfall does not provide data on individuals with a net worth below one million dollars, which could limit some insights. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
