I find the time it takes for segments to compile to be an issue. The current process of data coming back takes a week, which we wish could be faster so that we could respond to donors in a segmented way within 48 hours of their first gift. The net worth ratings do appear to be accurate, for the most part, and attributed to the correct people. It is easy to self-serve lists for screening in the portal. Unlimited runs of data in the contract year is a big plus, so you can run lots of data, in big or small batches, as much as you want. They do provide various wealth markers (Y/N columns for ownership of multiple properties, or exotic cars, etc) in addition to the net worth estimate. It's data that is easily interpretable, and gift officers respond well to the simplicity of what it is -- pure wealth estimate. The data output is just an excel spreadsheet, so it does feel like there is some definite process planning you have to sort out to make sure the data gets where it needs to go to be helpful and integrated into your other reporting. I forget if they have any integrations with CRMs -- if they do, that would be very helpful (but is also an additional cost). Windfall is also a little pricey considering it ONLY screens for people with $1 million+ net worth. We were looking for a robust alternative to iWave, and one that integrated cleanly with Hubspot. Windfall checks all of those boxes, *and* the support team is amazing to work with. We've been using Windfall for a few months now, and just added another subscription to a different product.
