Did not extract the full value of Wave yet. Thinking of using payroll, but there is no easy transition from Gusto Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Super easy and affordable option for small businesses"
What do you like best about Wave?

It's free and super easy to use. Gives a small business all the options that you need to get started. Keep track of revenue, and expenses and accept credit card payments all-in-one. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Wave?

The mobile apps were geared towards receipts and invoices only. Not just tracking expenses or income not related to a Wave invoice. That was my only issue with Wave. My business is mobile so mobile apps are important. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Horrible Customer Service"
What do you like best about Wave?

The UI seems intuitive. I have to hit the minimum character count, so I am simply typing these words aimlessly. There is literally nothing else I like about this software. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Wave?

Keep in mind, that the genesis of my issues with Wave has come from within my organization, but we are not wholly at fault for the matter.

Wave's customer service team is nonexistent, and with something as significant as payroll, you want to know that--if there's an issue--you'll have quick access to helping hands. However, you will not find that with Wave. Though the UI is good-looking, Wave doesn't store much useful data for you to access within it. Furthermore, when you want to get, help you'll be limited to speaking with someone via chat. When you have an ongoing issue, it will be someone new every time, so you will be explaining and re-explaining yourself time after time after time. They will make promises to follow up with you via email, but those emails will never come, or they will not address your problem thereby confirming your suspicions that when you were chatting with them they didn't take the time to understand your issue completely. Truly the most difficult organization I have ever experienced. For a brief moment, I connected with a truly kind and attentive customer service rep who followed up with me via email, but after a few email exchanges, he was gone. Never to be heard from again. Again, the needs of my organization are complex, and I inherited a mess to sift through. Maybe if your org is well organized and accurate payroll and tax remittance are high priorities. If it's not, though, then please do not choose Wave. If you have complex needs or don't have an absolute expert in payroll already in-house, then Wave will not be your best bet. Also, what's up with only remitting to, like, 14 states? That'll give you a HUGE headache as you'll have to pay states directly yourself. Not cool. Beware. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Fantastic Free Business Accounting Option with Payroll, Invoices and Online Payments!"
What do you like best about Wave?

It's free to use and do all your accounting. It is easy to get your reports to do taxes or just look at your P & L's. It works great and is quite easy. You can do payroll with it but you do have to pay for that, so if you are a tiny business it works great as you don't need payroll. You can also take online ACH and Credit Card payments. There are fees per payment but they are decently reasonable and they just send the payment to your bank account minus the fee. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Wave?

The only thing I really don't like is the recurring invoices. It does not name them correctly so instead of going Maintenance Contract Billing 1 then 2 then 3 it gives random names from last invoices you made that don't even have to do with the customer. So I have to rename them and send them instead of having Wave do it automatically. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Robust but uncomplicated"
What do you like best about Wave?

Wave has features that were lacking in other comparable programs. I use the invoice function quite a bit as I bill clients for hourly work. It automatically numbers invoices sequentially, keeps track of paid and unpaid invoices and has an easy set up to accept credit cards and bank payments, a feature lacking in many other basic business programs. It keeps track of income and expenses and will integrate with its accounting function, which I use sparingly because my needs are not great in this regard. I particularly like the fact that it will create receipts to send when payments are received. Invoices and receipts are very polished and professional looking. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Wave?

The only suggestions I have for Wave is that it should keep track of client emails across functions so I don't have to manually enter it when sending receipts. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Wave Accounting Review"
What do you like best about Wave?

That it's free! And honestly, it has been absolutely perfect for my small business. I've been using it for about 10 years now and the software continues to improve all the time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Wave?

Sometimes the improvements come along pretty slowly, and I've had some minor issues disconnecting old businesses that are no longer in existence, but it really hasn't caused any issues. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
