This is an issue not about Nexmo itself but rather the mobile companies: There is a daily limit on how many messages you can send out per phone number. If you exceed this limit, then phone companies could block your number and you wouldn't be able to send out any messages! The limit seems to be 100 text messages per day, with some people suggesting it is less. This means you need to track how many messages you are sending out, and if it is more, you need to add new phone numbers and rotate the sending. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I use Nexmo to send sms for notifications of a site we are very satisfied! Through Api it is very easy to use the SMS service completely customizable via the dashboard. Fast and functional it does its job well. Intuitive control panel. All the macro categories are well organized. Work in this way is facilitated. The documentation is well written. Customer service responds quickly. I have yet to try the voice service, but I'm sure it will be as good as the SMS service.

There is email notification when I am reaching the spending threshold. The Profile section is also well organized. The invoices can be downloaded after you make the recharge with paypal. I can add other users to my profile. There is also the possibility of using coupons to get discounts. In short, a complete service available to us. Nexmo works really well ! ! ! Usage of SMS outbound messaging during non working-hour (that is the case for business-critical application) is not properly handled, because delivery receipt does not means SMS received in the destination device, but only that SMS has beenaccepted by the last station to be delivered to the device and, outside extended working hours (from 9:00pm till 8:00am net morning, always during festivity), actually less than 5% of messages lands on destinatary device, despite 95%success decleard by reports. Wen submitting a support ticket from a logged in session, not only is it difficult to find where to enter a ticket but you have to login again and lookup you credentials and enter them. these should be carried over and done in the same session Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I like being able to text reminders to our customers. It makes it so simple at the end of the day. My CSR doesn't have to sit on the phone for an hour doing confirmation calls. Now all she has to do is send a quick text. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

There is not anything I would change at this time. The website is easy to use. I would like a feature that send me a notification before we run out of funds in the account. Outbound voice calls could have the ability to select the number you are calling from freely. I understand why it is limited, but it could be avoided with a different approach. Easy of use is the best. My web app is written in Python, and it was just a matter of copy pasting a piece of code and you are up and running in minutes for testing and production. The ability to receive and send audio packets using your own websockets server. Also the dashboard is well-made and offers you complete control over your services.

Not having the ability to determine the cost of a call by using the number. Right now we have to extract the meta from the number and then compare it ourselves with their pricing sheets. You can use number insights to do that, but it would be better if they offered a solution.

Also, the voice API offers only 2 types of audio (audio/l16;rate=8000, audio/l16;rate=16000). It would be really nice if they implemented different codecs such as Opus and different rates (so we don't waste CPU cycles upsampling the audio for our needs)

Opentok through Nexmo is the most solid web video api we have tried. Other platforms were harder to setup, and didn't have as quality of an outcome. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
