The API is robust and provides detaiiled feedback Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Prices fluctuate a lot. Price for my main destination was multiplied by 5 within a year Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Easy to use platform. Works fast. Great experience with the support. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I would recommend to build a better and easy GUI. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The pricing is fair, the choices you have are wonderful. For the brief time I was able to use the service I used the API to verify if a member's signup on our website was genuine or not (by performing a phone verification check). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Fraud risk system has wrongly identified my company as high risk. We have a good reputation worldwide, registered company in the UK and have been running for more than two years. A competitor to Nexmo who we previously used and have been forced to stay with have offered an uninterrupted service to my company for a considerable time. Support was unhelpful and anonymous. From day one I got unwanted hassle from two different people from Nexmo. There's no auto reload option if the balance is low. The topup system is very restrictive compared to other competitors out there. Nexmo caused several hours of downtime because they failed to send a simple email to say that the account had been blocked. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Simple to integrate Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Support! It was good until I got a strange issue. I am getting a success response with message ID, the amount charged, balance etc., but it's neither getting delivered nor I can see them in the dashboard. When I raised a ticket, surprisingly even the support team could not find those IDs from their end!!! Raised the ticket on Friday, now on Monday afternoon I am still waiting for the resolution, providing the info they asked. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It just works. It's rare that we have issues with using Nexmo, but they're clear with us if there are any currently known issues. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There's really nothing I dislike. I haven't interacted with their support much as there aren't usually issues so I can't rate that but overall it works pretty well. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The API is very easy to use and integrate into your own applications.
The examples given are easy to get started with just by replacing your credentials in the examples and the pricing is very competitive.
ie. https://rest.nexmo.com/sms/json?api_key=xxxxxxxx&api_secret=xxxxxxxx&to=xxxxxxxxxxxx&from=NexmoWorks&text=hello+from+Nexmo Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
If I had to say I disliked anything it would be two things in particular and neither are that big a deal to me.
The number availability can be spotty at best in some places, although this has improved dramaticly as of late and there are some Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Nexmo seemed to offer a very wide geographic telephony service, which was critical for a global SMS-based service we were developing. The API and fairly plain pricing was an added bonus. At the time, the main competitor was limited to a small handful of countries, so Nexmo was explored as an alternative. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The main issue with Nexmo's service, at the time we were evaluating and actively using it, was the quality of service promises. For example, we needed to be able to provision new local phone numbers dynamically and automatically, which was not as intuitive as we hoped. Additionally, we needed to confirm that SMSs were passed off to the various networks, which was difficult to prove with Nexmo. Nexmo's main competitor was able to provide these additional services. The price is very competitive - better than Twilio. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Nexmo is not as user-friendly as Twilio, and it takes a while to work out the intricacies of operation. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
