The software is modern and built for use anywhere, on any device. Camera analytics are included and require no setup or frustration. You can start with one camera, and end up with 5,000 - it does not matter. Storage is on the camera, as you grow your deployment, you do not need to reinvent your recording infrastructure. Firmware updates are automatically applied. The hardware is warrantied for 10 years. The support experience is world-class. Chat support is exceptionally fast, and low hassle. If you need to RMA a device, support will make the process smooth. The overall architecture seems to be the model of the future. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Price may be out of reach for some users or applications. The ability to access & record camera feeds locally using an open standard poses some integration challenges with 3rd party products. Verkada is actively developing the product, and as such, features sometimes get moved around, renamed, or just disappear. Reasonable development requests (like making the motion search grid size smaller) have been requested countless times, for years, and still, no action has been taken. Some products such as Alarms & Access Control, or Visitor are early in development and are not at the level of development e require yet. There are some concerns these three products (Alarms, Access Control and Cameras) are all being developed independently, and items such as assigning permissions are separate for each product, which removes some of the magic of buying everything from one vendor. The camera image quality is inferior to many competitors. There are limited options for cameras, if you want a multi-sensor camera, Verkada does not sell it. The 360 camera is a somewhat poor product. Adjusting the image is downright painful and comes with significant compromises (no analytics, ugly view, etc). While not an issue for us, some may not be keen on a recurring, subscription model, you can, however, pay for multiple years upfront. If you decide you do not wish to use Verakada software in the future, your equipment essentially becomes a brick. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

There are many things that standout for me when it comes to using Verkada. Here are the top 4.
The ease of use from a users and administrative perspective. Once we implemented the system, we were able to roll it out to our locations for security camera usage and access control, where we had permission.
The ability to use Bluetooth as the primary source for access, which allows us to forego purchasing access cards, integrate the solution with our IAM platform for automated user management.
The ability to give location based administrators access to administer their respective environment is a time saver.
Remote unlock feature, which allows for a successful hybrid environment. Deliveries, forgotten phones, etc. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I see nothing as a downside to using Verkada. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Verkada allows us to rapidly deploy security solutions City wide regardless of the environment. Our installation team can easily configure and activate a system in a matter of minutes with very little technical experience. Our maintenance team is able to resolve issues quickly and fully by using Verkada's chat or direct communication lines. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Verkada's marketing, packaging, and overall product is fantastic. We have had an amazing experience working with their sales team and engineers to help our district switch to their product. Their interface is second to none, the products are easy to install with everything you need included in every package. The integration from one system to another has been seemless. They have live customer service for chat or call any time of the day. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It's fast and easy to use cloud-based security solution which has great pro features. I enjoy using the advanced analytics features verkada offers including motion detection and facial recognition which are imperative for security efficiency. Another great feature I'd like to call out is the ease of integration Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Pricing could be better, customer support experience can be improved. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The sales calls are dirven by the technical resources. The identify needs first and ask lots of questions before talking about products and solutions. In addition with being great with subject matter experts at our organization, they're also incredible at working with non-technical staff who need a much more educational approach. Their tech is amazing and has taken us leaps and bounds beyond our dated NVR system. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It's hard to identify any real problems with the company. I suppose that not being able to keep locally cached camera data on a local appliance is a downside. The product is on the high end of the spectrum, but it can only be considered overpriced if you don't understand the actual buffet of features and benefits you get with your subscription. We are waiting for a multi-tenant interface. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Very easy deployment. Easy management. Great features especially around alerts and searching footage. PoC trial: had v good support.
Easier to look after a growing estate thanks to increased automation and good management interface. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Expensive. Higher up front cost than most other options. Partly understandable because of the advanced features. The lifetime of the cameras is 10 years though so it is an investment. When comparing against alternatives use 5-10 year lifecycle Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
