Veeam Backup for Microsoft O365's user interface is simple to use, easy to configure, and reliably restores content for a variety of services within the Microsoft 365 Ecosystem. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Even though the interface is easy to use, the GUI could be remarked as dated with how some of the functionality works. For example, having to load seperate modules for restore points and mounting these service specific backups before being able to query them can be seen as cumbersome. The reliability of Veeam Backup for Microsoft 365 is what stands out to us. It provides a safety net for our cloud data that we can consistently rely upon. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It is very easy to use. You can browse the users mailboxes to find individual emails to restore. You are able to easily restore Teams messages and SharePoint documents Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It doesn't backup users Teams messages, only Teams channel messages. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Veeam for Microsoft 365 is very easy to setup and start backing your infastructure. There is also a lot of documentation. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Backups can be slow at first, specially if you have a lot of data. You have to add multiple user accounts to back up faster. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
We like the simplicity and protection that Veeam backup provides to our institution. Very easy to setup and allows flexibility of what gets backed up. We have used it in many different scenarios including accidental deletion to legal hold Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Not much to dislike. Does add a high cost to your subscription. If you environment is large then it does add a lot of overhead to the back up strategy. Running quarterly tests with a large environment takes time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The most helpful thing is the ease of being able to restore from a backup. Everything from an file on OneDrive to a sharepoint file. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Haven't really found any downsides to speak of Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It backups up ALL of the items with Office 365 - Email you would expect, but also notes, calendars, sharepoint and one drive items. Plus, you can control how long they are saved. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
If you have MFA turned on in O365, it's a bit tricky to setup the login for the backup. There is documentation, but it is a bit hard to find. Other than that there really isn't anything I've found to dislike. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
