There is not a lot of data on smaller, newer companies with fewer than 10 EEs and under $5MM Revenues Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

This past year I was tasked with sourcing contacts from numerous trade show contacts. I was very pleased with customer service, the cost, and mostly accurate contact information. Uplead is a fantastic source to get qualified leads with a bounty of detail. The dashboard is easy to use and the customer service is A+ with quick and proactive response times. The filtering process allos users to drill down on content you are seeking the create high quality and reliable lists for your marketing efforts. I will continue to use this service for the future. Nothing. I did not use it. The filters seemed too complicated so I dropped out after seeing that. Sometime later that month I got slapped with a 900 dollar bill and because they did not find those funds they took what they could: 99 dollars. Now they say it is nonrefundable. Imagine this with 900 dollars.

UPDATE: They have come back to me and refunded my funds. I had to bring to their attention that what they were doing might have been considered illegal by FTC: Federal Trade Commission Act

I am not sure if this was the reason they refunded me the funds or the fact that I have not engaged with their platform at all except for introducing my card details. I am still scared that they will charge me next month, even though I have cancelled my unwanted subscription instantly without using it.

Summary:

Onboarding dark pattern. Be aware after the trial period they opt you in automatically for a 1 year subscription. I did not use it at all because I found it too complicated, got charged initially with 900 doors and then after a failed attempt, they charged me 99 dollars. FOR NOT ONE ACTION on that site. My trial points are there. I have not touched them and so are the automatic subscription points. They are refusing to refund me the 99 dollars that they, in my view, stole from me for no value whatsoever.

Long version:

I recently encountered some challenges during the onboarding process that I believe are important to share. After the trial period, I was automatically enrolled in a one-year subscription without my explicit consent. This led to an initial charge of $900, followed by an additional $99 after an unsuccessful attempt to manage the subscription.

I found the process somewhat complicated and was unable to utilize the service, leaving my trial points unused. Additionally, I did not receive any email notifications regarding the billing or the conclusion of the trial period, which contributed to my oversight of the automatic subscription.

It appears that the terms and conditions may be located in a less visible area of the website, possibly within fine print or buried under extensive text related to saving card details. I would recommend UpLead to any organization that is interested in increasing their brand recognition and initiating an integrated marketing solution. Their services have been utilized in both direct digital marketing initiatves and targeted marketing at certain demographics in big and small ways. The saved searches mostly come out with inconsistent results and midway amendments to queries are hard. I end up having to recreate them. The response rate is 30% and correctness is approximately 70% and also the search and filter abilities can be more potent. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I appreciate the transparency—when the email address I provide is invalid, none of my credits are used. The capability to validate contact details the way you do is very impressive. I also love that I have direct access to a LinkedIn profile for the contact I’m viewing.

Additionally, I enjoy how easy it is to build lists and export them directly into our CRM, HubSpot—all within the standard price. Unlike ZoomInfo, where this is a paid feature, Uplead includes it as part of the package. It's great to see a company with the potential to overtake ZoomInfo, especially considering their prices are exorbitant. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Unlocking the full contact information for leaders and important employees around the world is a tremendous resource and the data from UpLead yields a significant advatage to anyone who needs to communicate to reach their personal or professional goals. I've been a member for many years, and the service is only getting better.

With all of the job hopping, changes to contact information since COVID, and movement within industries, it's difficult for any service to stay current with all contact information. But UpLead has never let me down, and I will be a loyal customer for life. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

There is a lot of contacts that I can´t acces to their information or the information was not correct. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

There are a few things we liked best. Customer support and training have been fantastic and love having a U.S. based support group. Real time data with customer contact info being constantly updated.
