Easy to set up and configure, the appliance can start backing up all assets within minutes. It supports a wide range of operating systems, including legacy versions, and offers 24/7 support with quick escalation for any issues.. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Push agent update. There's a lot of configuration required before deploying the update, which makes the process more complicated. Additionally, many tasks can be done in the backend, but only the support team has access to handle them. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The uniview portal feels half baked. Have to submit help tickets to configure to customers and assign salesforce backup licenses. They keep changing portals and do not provide very much help with migrating and accessing the different portals. Support tickets just provide more documentation instead of solutions. The deduplication/compression for VM workloads seems to be effective in utilising the size of the Unitrends applicance disk storage, and the reporting/alerting seems good. The ability to gain remote access to the applicance tunnelled through the cloud management interface has been a plus. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
We were surprised on arrival that the actual amount of physical storage space for backups on the Unit was not as much as advertised (to a deficit of around 20%) due to a large OS partition. Would suggest being mindful of that when sizing the device. Additionally, we have found the device backups seem to be sensitive to things like pending OS updates on VMs or the hypervisor, requiring a reboot of the production environment for backups to resume. We have Unitrends integrated with our Virtual Environment and we can restore a server in less than 15 minutes. We can also very easily retrieve lost or deleted files. Unitrends is by far the easiest and most reliable backup product I have ever used. We also have their DRASS and its a great service and fulfills all of our off site disaster recovery requirements. I setup all of our schedules and the appliance, I receive emails every morning that are backups were successful with reports and we periodically test our backups. Being able to manage the system without having to rely on a third-party MSP enables our team to quickly and efficiently manage our backups, cloud retention, and disaster recovery processes without the delays traditionally associated with needing to reach out to another team for assistance with simple backup and recovery processes. Support has been very responsive when needed and deployment was as simple as getting the agent installed and pairing to the appliance, then configuring the SLA and letting the automated processes take over from there. At this time, there have been no real downsides apart from needing to make space in our racks for the appliances, which was mostly an issue with managing the transition from the existing solution and decommissioning the existing solution's hardware. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

They integration with IT Glue is not great. We ran into troubles where when a user was exited from a client, we could not delete the contact because of the sync and there is not a way to disable the sync. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

We have to update agents manually on endpoints, this is annoying and is due to pushing updates to the endpoint triggers the antivirus. We would rather not set this as an exception on the AV as it poses a security risk. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
