Umbraco is friendly! Friendly to all users no matter their role - developer or content editor. Keeping up with the latest dotnet technologies is remarkable! Working with the product is pleasant and the community is really helpful! Support is getting better and better with every month! Umbraco Cloud is evolving as well! Congrats, team! Overall, I don't have real issues with the platform. I would like to see further improvemente to Umbraco Deploy regarding handling large amount if content (I am familiar with the latest work on the subject and it is great but I still feel like it nees more features to simlify the transfer of portions of content from Live to Development environments) Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The part I like best about Umbraco is the flexibility. Plain and simple. It's a blank canvas for you to build upon, with many many built in features that are easily configured to suit your needs. As a developer, or even using Umbraco cloud, you can setup a site in minutes! Even so much as intergrating it with other systems you may have, such as logging into the back office with Active Directory for just one example.
There's also a very strong community, with forums and even a discord server, where people will post daily with problems and solutions to support each other.
Personally I use Umbraco every week day (sometimes on the weekend too) for my job. People often ask if I have used other CMS's before and the answer is, yes of course, but the best one to use in my opinion, by far is Umbraco. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
For me there is no real dislike about Umbraco. The features and updates are very frequent, support and help can easily be found online with the use of, forums discord and an extensive docs site, featuring; hints, tips, tricks, how to's and example code to help you get started! Leveraging C# / .net means it is exceptionally fast. Templating is easy thanks to MVC framework. All works well with deploys managed in Azure dev ops. We have a massive user base and millions of views annually and scales really well. Well considered content auditing and rollback is useful as we have many authors making hundreds of updates per week. Lack of moderation, accessibility and analytics tools either natively or via add ons Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Whether your building a small website for a local business or a very larve enterprise solutions, Umbraco is a great tool for building digital solutions.
It does not matter if you want to do serverside render pages, static site generation, Headless or any other ways, you can use the techstack your used to in combination with Umbraco.
With a large open source community, there is a lot og resources to help you with almost anything. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Documentation might in some areas not always be completely up to date, which can sometimes lead you to stall on something.
However if you use the community Discord or contact Umbraco HQ, you'll usually get help very fast. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
For me, the best thing about Umbraco is how easy it is to use. I interact with this CMS every single day because the website I work on is built with it. Whenever I have to manage a project, I know I can rely on it to get the job done efficiently. And whenever I've needed support, they've been there to help out. That personal touch really makes a difference.
While I might not be too tech-savvy when it comes to integration and implementation, once the developers have done their thing, working with Umbraco is a breeze. Everything just seems to click into place, allowing me to focus on what really matters that is creating and managing content effectively. Umbraco truly makes my job easier and more efficient!!! What I like least about Umbraco is that to customize the labels to be displayed, such as those in block lists or block grids, you need to have a certain level of programming knowledge Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Smart and Developer friendly but not so focused so easy to implement for tech developers etc with lots of easy integration with developer tools etc. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Not been very user friendly for ease of use as a CMS. taken a while to build out so other tools we use frequently like wordpress have been better. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Umbraco is the CMS platform which powers all our clients' projects.
This powerful platform is a dream to use for our developers and for our client content editors too.
The Umbraco HQ team are continuously developing the platform to ensure it meets and exceeds the needs of the market.
We love the Umbraco community, deeply engaged, collaborative and supportive - and we're proud to have a number of Umbraco MVPs and Masters within our team. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Sometimes support ticket response times are not as quick as we would like, but we know the support team are working on this and generally the support service is excellent. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Umbraco is one of the best cms that I have ever use, it's easy to implement and to manage the content that is showing in your website, also its capabilities of creating new elements and reusing elements among the pages. I feel really appreciated about the feedback provide by customers who I have could bring them a brand new website where they could change and interact with its content every time they want it. Last thing, but not least that I love about umbraco is the easy integration that it has with other tecnology for example I could have the front end made on react and umbraco acting as a headless cms sending the content throught the api creating in umbraco. Well, I would like to get more documentation, because I think that there is not enough documentation about some key topics or some problems that we got when we are creating a solution in umbraco. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I find it very user friendly and easy to navigate. Nothing too technical and most features are fairly basic. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The update has made it very difficult to edit tables in Central Blocks as when you edit, the tab comes across the screen from the left, but the full table doesn't show, meaning you either need to edit the source code or copy the table into Word and copy it back again. There is a risk in doing this in that you could miss some rows or data when pasting it back in to Umbraco or make errors in the code. This "fix" isn't great for quick edits either. Very easy to implement and use.
The extendability of it. Being able to include custom code and designs which can by implemented dynamically using the Umbraco ecosystem.
Great customer support.
Easy set-up and integration. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Doesn't offer many out-of-the-box features. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
