## Progress Sitefinity Reviews
  ### 1. Centralized Omnichannel Content Management with Sitefinity Is The Most Easiest

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Imanda I. | Office Admin, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 13, 2026

**What do you like best about Progress Sitefinity?**

I like how Progress Sitefinity to be working very well as our omnichannel content hub. It serves as the single source of truth for our primary marketing sites, mobile apps, news feeds, and customer-facing portal, allowing us to manage hybrid-less delivery from a single end. I really like the AI-enhanced media search, as it makes my daily work easier by helping me find high-resolution assets using AI prompts, like searching for a person using a laptop.

**What do you dislike about Progress Sitefinity?**

The image auditing capabilities are frustratingly limited. It is currently very difficult to see exactly which page or widgets are actively using a specific image, which makes pruning our asset library risky and can lead to broken links if the image that I am deleting is still actively used.

**What problems is Progress Sitefinity solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Progress Sitefinity solves content duplication across languages, centralizing brand control and synchronizing messaging. The AI-enhanced media search simplifies finding high-resolution assets, making my daily work easier.

  ### 2. Feature-Rich but Not User-Friendly Enough

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Brajesh P. | Website and Software Developer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 13, 2026

**What do you like best about Progress Sitefinity?**

I like the drag and drop facilities available in Progress Sitefinity. It's easy to grip pages, navigate, and do a lot of things with images, videos, and iFrames. You just drag and drop inside, which is quite convenient. I also appreciate that there are a lot of good features for the site, and the security purpose is very good. The support is also very good, which is important for maintaining the site.

**What do you dislike about Progress Sitefinity?**

I faced the problem that it's not user-friendly compared to WordPress and other platforms. Sometimes, it's time-consuming to edit or upload and save changes. It takes a lot of time to upload sometimes, which I think needs to be improved. Editing for the user perspective needs more work to allow better collaboration and features like preview could be added.

**What problems is Progress Sitefinity solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Progress Sitefinity for our Black Box website, handling backend edits. It offers drag and drop facilities, making it easier to add images and videos. I've seen improvement in site speed and security, which is good.

  ### 3. Progress Sitefinity - affordable and flexible

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Higher Education | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 15, 2020

**What do you like best about Progress Sitefinity?**

The platform is regularly updated and is comparatively easy for use for our range of content editors and admins.. The pricing is also highly competitive (at least for the self-hosted option)

**What do you dislike about Progress Sitefinity?**

Some of the features are non-intuitive and permissions, while granular, are often quite complex to manage in a way that aligns with our goals. Many of the integrations have been deprecated or don't work as well as they should, but the API and web service support is very good.

**Recommendations to others considering Progress Sitefinity:**

Sitefinity provides a huge number of features out of the box, and it has improved year on year in our experience. The licensing model is very competitive and the support staff are responsive and knowledgeable. It comfortably sits in the middle ground between open-source, highly adaptable platforms, and higher cost, fully-featured platforms. Deriving best value from the platform will still require software/web development expertise, but at a less intensive degree that more expensive options.

**What problems is Progress Sitefinity solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is very easy for us to develop custom content types for a range of different content management and presentation needs, and pair these with simple to use frontend templates and design options.

  ### 4. Progress Sitefinity: Streamlined Content Management with Powerful Integrations

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kazam I. | Human Resource Assistant ll, Internet, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 11, 2026

**What do you like best about Progress Sitefinity?**

The native Microsoft Translate Integration in Progress Sitefinity is what I like the most because it's a massive time saver. It allows me to push content to our international site with single clicks, handling the heavy lifting of localization within the interface. This means I don't have to manually manage separate documents or external translations, which makes my work easy and effective, with fewer mistakes. I also appreciate that the rollout of the integration hub was remarkably fast due to its no-code interface, which allowed me to bridge our systems with our CRM and Slack channels in one day, without needing to write custom webhooks or involve backend developers for every new connection.

**What do you dislike about Progress Sitefinity?**

A significant frustration is the lack of a new indicator for our digital media assets. It's nearly impossible to tell if an image is actively embedded on a live page without checking it manually, which makes it very risky to clean up our growing library and optimize our storage cost.

**What problems is Progress Sitefinity solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Progress Sitefinity to manage our integration ecosystem, connecting content to tools like Jira and Asana. It solves handoff issues, automates ticket creation, and provides visibility into production. I save time with the Microsoft Translate Integration for easy localization.

  ### 5. Streamlined Content Management with Effective SEO Tools By Progress Sitefinity

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Hamzah A. | Administrator, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 11, 2026

**What do you like best about Progress Sitefinity?**

Things that work very well from Progress Sitefinity is the multistep workflow engine. It's a lifesaver because I can set up a strict approval chain for our more sensitive documents. It makes my work easy because I don't have to chase people down for sign-off. The system automatically pings the right manager, and a page doesn't go live until it's been officially cleared.

**What do you dislike about Progress Sitefinity?**

I think the internal media library can feel a bit sluggish when you are trying to organize thousands of assets into different folders. I really like to see a more modern, back edit features for image metadata. As the current process of editing updating text for a large group of files is far too tedious.

**What problems is Progress Sitefinity solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Progress Sitefinity helps us manage complex lead capture forms, automates customer inquiries to our database, and creates high-conversion landing pages for marketing. Its SEO tools guide content creation, generate clear URLs, manage redirects, and improve search rankings.

  ### 6. Powerful CMS with Intuitive Editing, Needs Better Upgrade Process

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jorge M. | Senior security analyst, Information Technology and Services, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 08, 2026

**What do you like best about Progress Sitefinity?**

What I love is the 'what you see is what you get' page editor because it allows me to drag and drop widgets and see the final result in real time. This makes my day-to-day work much faster because I can build out a landing page and verify the layout myself, without having to wait for the developer to push a preview to the staging environment.

**What do you dislike about Progress Sitefinity?**

The biggest headache with this software is the version upgrade process. It often feels like a massive technical undertaking rather than a simple patch. It would be a huge improvement if the updates were more seamless, as we currently have to spend a significant amount of time testing for broken customizations every time a new release comes out.

**What problems is Progress Sitefinity solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Progress Sitefinity to manage high traffic customer portals, coordinate digital marketing assets, and build web pages. It excels in audience segmentation and personalization, allowing us to serve targeted content and promotions, making our marketing more specific for each visitor.

  ### 7. Scalable CMS/DXP with strong personalization

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Education Management | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 06, 2026

**What do you like best about Progress Sitefinity?**

What stands out most about Progress Sitefinity is its balance between usability and capability. It’s intuitive for non-technical editors - thanks to its clean interface, out-of-the-box widgets, and straightforward content publishing - while still offering developers flexibility through its MVC-based architecture and easy integrations. Features like content staging, scheduled synchronization, and strong personalization make workflows more efficient and reliable, even for smaller teams. There are some forward thinking AI integrations, combined with solid performance, robust security, and responsive support, it’s a dependable CMS that scales well across projects of varying complexity. Pricing is competitive.

**What do you dislike about Progress Sitefinity?**

While Progress Sitefinity is generally user-friendly and powerful, some of its strengths come with trade-offs. Features like multilingual setup, personalization, and environment management can require manual configuration and coordination across environments, which adds complexity and slows workflows. The platform’s flexibility and extensibility - particularly with custom development - can also make upgrades more fragile, often requiring .NET expertise to manage safely. Out-of-the-box functionality isn’t always complete either, with search being a common gap that needs third-party enhancement.

**What problems is Progress Sitefinity solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Progress Sitefinity solves the challenge of managing and delivering secure, personalised digital experiences efficiently within a single platform. It brings together content management and visitor data, enabling teams - especially smaller ones - to deliver more targeted, impactful communications without heavy developer reliance. This streamlines content updates, improves operational efficiency, and reduces overhead, while still providing a robust front-end and back-end foundation for building and managing websites.

  ### 8. Streamlines Product Enrichment with Ease

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Lizandrie . | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 06, 2026

**What do you like best about Progress Sitefinity?**

I like the friendly user interface and logical filtering options for products in Progress Sitefinity. The shortcuts, especially the net product shortcut (j) and K, really help me systematically move through the filtered products and make necessary changes. The import and export of product data in a CSV format has been extremely helpful. It simplifies the process of enriching products without in-depth coding knowledge by providing a single page for optimizing the SEO of a product.

**What do you dislike about Progress Sitefinity?**

I would like to be able to view a product image in the back-end so I can ensure the HTML used in the product description is displaying correctly and also to ensure that the product photos fit the necessary measurements. I think having an upload history for the product descriptions improvements would be helpful. I would also like to be able to revert an upload if a mistake has been made.

**What problems is Progress Sitefinity solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Progress Sitefinity simplifies product enrichment without needing in-depth coding knowledge by providing an easy-to-use page to enrich and optimize SEO. It includes features like shortcuts for efficiently navigating and updating large product lists and supports CSV import/export for managing data.

  ### 9. Efficient CMS Tool, Enhances Our SEO Capabilities

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ryan C. | Vice President Consumer Marketing, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 05, 2026

**What do you like best about Progress Sitefinity?**

I really appreciate that Progress Sitefinity is easy to use for updating content, changing images, doing AB testing, and changing layouts. It's been a fantastic asset for our business as a CMS tool. I've been using it for ten years, and it's getting better every day. It has significantly decreased the amount of developer time needed and allowed our SEO and paid search specialists to handle updates themselves. The initial setup was pretty quick, taking just a couple of weeks to get everything AB tested and launched. I would definitely recommend it to others.

**What do you dislike about Progress Sitefinity?**

Nothing stands out. It would be nice to have some SEO tool integrated to this.

**What problems is Progress Sitefinity solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Progress Sitefinity makes it easy to update content, change images and layouts, perform A/B testing, and configure tools, reducing developer time and empowering SEO and search specialists.

  ### 10. Excellent Content Management That Unifies Content and Simplifies Creation

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Marck T. | Supervisor Digital Marketing, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 16, 2026

**What do you like best about Progress Sitefinity?**

It stands out for its ability to unify content and for its excellent content management features. It significantly simplifies content creation and editing, and I really enjoy the overall development experience. It also offers numerous pre-configured connectors, and I especially like the intuitive developer model.

**What do you dislike about Progress Sitefinity?**

The platform requires a significant technical investment, and updates or integrations often need careful planning. The experience editor can also be quite slow at times, which affects the overall workflow.

**What problems is Progress Sitefinity solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It has significantly improved our workflow and gives authors the flexibility to customize key elements. It’s also helped us scale our operations as needed, while providing real-time analytics and insights. I use the platform to manage content centrally, which makes it easier to stay organized and keep everything in one place.
