Configurability and how much it can be extended beyond its out of the box model. It has great CMS features and capabilities, it is very swift and responsive. Easy to use and navigate, very quick customer support for Umbraco Cloud projects. Very quick and easy to integrate with other tools as well. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There is nothing that comes to mind at this time Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The back office is intuitive and easy to learn. Especially if you have some WordPress experience. The developers have done some excellent work with the UI but also on the server side. In WordPress there were issues with previewing cache wise. None of that in Umbraco. Umbraco also have a more professional approach for working with images and styles. While it is understandable with the tech stack Umbraco depends on, it is hard to defend the rapid release and end of life cycle to clients. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I've used Umbraco since Umbraco 7, and what a ride it has been!
I like that Umbraco is so easy to use, both in the backoffice AND when coding. Whether it's integrating an external API or adding document types or templates, it all feels very intuitive.
The interface in the backoffice is very clean and feels modern. Whether you're scheduling content, managing language versions, or simply editing a page, Umbraco's interface feels smooth and responsive.
One of the biggest advantages of using Umbraco is also the community. The Umbraco community is very active; providing forums, documentation, and a variety of add-ons/plugins. The customer support is also really friendly if you need dedicated assistance!
For our latest project we used the Content Delivery API and I thought it worked very well to fetch the content in an easy way.
Overall I think Umbraco is the perfect combination of simplicity and depth, both for the developer and content editors! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
When editing a blocklistproperty I want to be able to add multiple blocks at the same time, and not add them one and one.
I would like better language block support, but that is coming in Umbraco 15! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Every iteration is bringing the system further forward and providing easier methods for extending it to meet our client's needs. Not only that but the overall user experience for both editors and developers is consistently improving as well. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I would like to see some areas of the system expanded on, but that's where being part of the community comes in, so I guess that's down to me to try and suggest ways to update the system that I feel are beneficial to all users. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Umbraco is currently the best CMS out there. It is well suited if you want to host the website yourself or if our customers want an easy way to customize and edit content. It's easy to get started through our own instance-system were we can spin-up customer sites within 4 minutes.

Integration with frontend technologies are fairly simple with the Models for documents type being familiar and simple to understand if experienced with dotnet projects.

I face issues with Model generation which could be out of sync at times and might cause issues when maintaining a share repo. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It's completely customisable, opensource CMS. You can self host it or use Umbraco cloud or heartcore as a hosted solution. It's cross platform so you can run it on WIndows or Linux. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It takes some learning to do things right - but otherwise not much to dislike. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
