What do you like best about Umbraco?

Leveraging C# / .net means it is exceptionally fast. Templating is easy thanks to MVC framework. All works well with deploys managed in Azure dev ops. We have a massive user base and millions of views annually and scales really well. Well considered content auditing and rollback is useful as we have many authors making hundreds of updates per week. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Umbraco?

Lack of moderation, accessibility and analytics tools either natively or via add ons Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Umbraco solving and how is that benefiting you?

Multiple sites and authors with varied access requirement and hostnames in the mix. User and dev experience is well thought out to support this Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Niels Laursen of Umbraco

Thank you for your review! We're thrilled to hear that you've found Umbraco to be a reliable and scalable CMS, especially for larger organizations. We appreciate your feedback on the need for moderation, accessibility, and analytics tools.

And we actually do have some native add-ons available that potentially can help you out here, the recently launched Umbraco Engage, and Umbraco Workflow. I have attached a link to the Umbraco engage add-on.

I hope this is what you are looking for

Best regards

Niels from Umbraco

What do you like best about Umbraco?

For me, the best thing about Umbraco is how easy it is to use. I interact with this CMS every single day because the website I work on is built with it. Whenever I have to manage a project, I know I can rely on it to get the job done efficiently. And whenever I've needed support, they've been there to help out. That personal touch really makes a difference.

While I might not be too tech-savvy when it comes to integration and implementation, once the developers have done their thing, working with Umbraco is a breeze. Everything just seems to click into place, allowing me to focus on what really matters that is creating and managing content effectively. Umbraco truly makes my job easier and more efficient!!! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Umbraco?

What I like least about Umbraco is that to customize the labels to be displayed, such as those in block lists or block grids, you need to have a certain level of programming knowledge Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Umbraco solving and how is that benefiting you?

The only issue I can mention is regarding the labels that I mentioned in the previous section. I would like to have the ability, as a user, to change what text is displayed. Something like a dropdown menu within the model to select the text field that I want to display as the label, this would be a great option for people like me that do not have too much technical experience Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Umbraco?

Umbraco is one of the best cms that I have ever use, it's easy to implement and to manage the content that is showing in your website, also its capabilities of creating new elements and reusing elements among the pages. I feel really appreciated about the feedback provide by customers who I have could bring them a brand new website where they could change and interact with its content every time they want it. Last thing, but not least that I love about umbraco is the easy integration that it has with other tecnology for example I could have the front end made on react and umbraco acting as a headless cms sending the content throught the api creating in umbraco. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Umbraco?

Well, I would like to get more documentation, because I think that there is not enough documentation about some key topics or some problems that we got when we are creating a solution in umbraco. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Umbraco solving and how is that benefiting you?

One big problem that Umbraco is solving is that most of the companies that have their web site online want to make changes of the content but they could not do it because they need to pay to the development team to add a new change and deploy another time their website, and when those companies use umbraco they don't have this problem anymore, they just need to go to their backoffice and manage their content wherever they want. What do you like best about Umbraco?

I find it very user friendly and easy to navigate. Nothing too technical and most features are fairly basic. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Umbraco?

The update has made it very difficult to edit tables in Central Blocks as when you edit, the tab comes across the screen from the left, but the full table doesn't show, meaning you either need to edit the source code or copy the table into Word and copy it back again. There is a risk in doing this in that you could miss some rows or data when pasting it back in to Umbraco or make errors in the code. This "fix" isn't great for quick edits either. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Umbraco solving and how is that benefiting you?

I use Umbraco to make edits to our website. It is user friendly for the most part but has some issues. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Umbraco?

The back office is intuitive and easy to learn. Especially if you have some WordPress experience. The developers have done some excellent work with the UI but also on the server side. In WordPress there were issues with previewing cache wise. None of that in Umbraco. Umbraco also have a more professional approach for working with images and styles. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Umbraco?

Took me a while to find the header/footer sections to edit. But UI wise its corectly placed. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
