SendGrid has an exceptional delivery capacity rate, I have never had a problem with the delivery of emails. I want to take the opportunity to say that it is extremely simple to use. In addition to this the SendGrid API allows you to integrate transactional email in the customized way you want. This allows you to make the emails sent very personalized. It is important to note that the templates SendGrid contains are not many, therefore it is a bit difficult to customize. I could see that the navigation to the Billing or Account section is a bit difficult; This is something that makes me thoughtful because the processes in other sections are clean. This was the first transactional email service I’ve had any luck with, it’s a massive upgrade from mailchimp, which I was using before. Substitutions allow me to send out bulk emails with personalization, totally streamlined my workflow. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Beware of their billing system. they claim you are allowed say 5k contacts but this is on a monthly billing cycle so if you make a mistake on set up and upload a fresh list and deleted the old contacts to zero they still include these in your quota. The quota is based on all activity NOT your quota.Also, nothing works. After two weeks I still could not view my uploaded contacts to manage bounces as per best practice. Support is also useless. I like the way in which the post templates in SendGrid are integrated and the methods of using the API, in which it is very easy to indicate the necessary parameters for sending emails. It's very easy to integrate SendGrid with other services to extend its capability and functionality. The reporting tools in SendGrid have changed drastically in the last year and a half or so. Though I like some of the changes SendGrid has made, the amount of data is reduced to only three days. I know it costs a lot of money to keep large amounts of data for clients, but I would like to look at data for at least one or two weeks for a product that I pay for every month. I like being able to send personalized emails with SendGrid Transactional templates. We just provide the name attribute which comes very handy to send emails. For this purpose, I have used SendGrid Python APK. It gives a lot of analytics as well like whether the mail has been opened or clicked or went into spam. The Python documentation of SendGrid is very poor. The Github repo contains consider the number of issues also. I have to build and customize the Python code on my own. I think Sendgrid should give more time to resolve these issues. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I like the way you can create segments on contacts lists based on many factors and rules. It is very easy to set up and very helpful when you have a big contact list with different types of clients in it. You can use "and" "or" rules to add more personalization to the segments. I find the way to add contacts quite difficult for a person that doesn't work with CSV formats or that doesn't know how to transform a list that is in columns to a CSV that can be read by Sendgrid. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

SendGrid has tools that allow us to optimize our bulk emails in many ways. They have professional design tools and templates that we can use to create and edit very sharp and engaging emails. Their system helps to boost our chances of emails actually getting through to recipients. Though it was a bit confusing for me to use at first, I ultimately didn't need an advanced technical background in programming or computing to use it effectively. The pricing to expand our sending capacity was a bit on the high end. We have to manage our contacts and sift through our leads to make sure we have the best chances for conversion. Getting started was a bit intimidating and it took me a while to really get a hang of using SendGrid. The best thing about SendGrid is its user-friendly interface and effectiveness for creating campaigns for our customers. You can make everything according to your customers’ preferences and create the most suitable and interesting email campaigns. The biggest negatives are that there are some confusing issues with email design. The emails often don't look the same in edit mode, the preview mode and after sending them out via an email campaign. Moreover, SMTP integration is a quite complicated procedure. I like the tracking of open rates and click rates. I also like that they allow you to do A/B testing and it auto selects the better performing one. The other thing I like is that there is an option to switch to code mode, for a more customized approach. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

There is a lot to learn if you are new. One of the things I think can be improved is that you have to choose a template or code mode.... but you can't go back and forth. Also, some of the A/B testing is done automatically, but you don't have 100% control Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
