Twilio's APIs, SMTP Relay, and Webhooks with its delivery optimization tool ease the process of sending emails at bulk addresses. It will not mark sent mail as Spam. Its dynamic template editor for customized Emails makes it more user-friendly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
For user who wants to try the software and is using freeware it only provides 100 emails for free which is significantly less for an Enterprise in its initial stage. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Installing the software took quite a long time because it was complex, but fortunately I got it done without having to contact support. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Mainly the bugs such as:
- Preview not being the same
- Features jumping around
- You make changes sometimes that don't stick
Also there was some poor UI and labelling. For example, I always ended up as the return email address going to the wrong person, despite vigorously checking the settings beforehand. I also clicked on the left hand menu to find my campaigns (are they under marketing or campaigns?) Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Emails get sent. The visual email editor works okay. If you're willing to put up with bugs and janky workarounds, you can get your emails out, even with a decent level of sophistication. Their support team responds fairly quickly. The price is okay. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Sometimes it's straight-up bugs, like the a/b testing report that mis-labeled testing variants or race conditions that were, without permission, changing subject lines of emails I set up. I was happy to see that they now show at what time they anticipate a segment will update, except that the segment I set up today said it wouldn't refresh for 2 hours, and still more than two hours later the segment isn't ready to go. They're also just missing features: there's no good way to exclude recipients, so I end up doing a lot of work in Python on my local machine and then upload. Segmentation limits doing more than one And on engagement metrics, and it doesn't even include newly added email address to those engagement critieria. Also, they include few useful deliverability metrics -- spam reports are misleading because they don't include gmail (which should be a reminder), and there are no integrated inbox deliverability monitoring tools -- the delivered statistic is not useful for getting a read on what percentage of emails are actually going to inbox, only what percentage of emails aren't bouncing back.
For simple use cases, SendGrid Marketing Campaigns work out of the box. There is a lot of functionality. But for more complex use cases, the tool has bugs, limitations and subtle innaccuracies that you only figure out through experience.
I really can't stand writing a negative review. I appreciate that large-scale email sending is a hard problem and that SendGrid has solved a large majority of this problem. But there have been enough issues over a long enough amount of time that I feel it's my responsibility to report my experiences. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
