**What do you like best about Trolley?**

I like the ease of use, the interface, and the simplicity of the Trolley platform. It's useful because I don't have a lot of time, so it's nice to be able to get tasks done without sorting through technical jargon.

**What do you dislike about Trolley?**

I strongly need a new function in the feature... employees using Trolley to pay outside contractors can see all the payments that go out for my company. I'd like to be able to control who sees what information, especially financial information that goes out on Trolley. I'd also love to be able to delay or schedule payments to go out on a certain date, which isn't available right now and seems like it should be a no-brainer. The initial setup was not that easy, with a lot of issues. There was information requested that had never been requested of us on any other platform by the bank, which delayed our setup by months. There were payments that went out that didn't reach the recipient, and that was a bank error. That should never happen, period, and fixing this was not easy and i felt gaslighted during much of that process.

I use Trolley to pay contractors, which helps organize payments, collect tax data simultaneously, and track payments throughout the year.

**What do you like best about Trolley?**

Trolley has been a helpful platform for managing global payouts in a structured and organized way. The interface is clean, the reporting is straightforward, and the ability to centralize payee records has been valuable for keeping our operations consistent. When issues are escalated, the customer success team (especially Lisa) has been responsive, supportive, and proactive in following up. The system also handles multi-country payouts in one place, which is a strong advantage compared to using multiple banking tools

**What do you dislike about Trolley?**

The most challenging part has been the unpredictability of compliance-driven validations and sudden changes to required fields. Long-time payees who have been successfully paid for years suddenly receive repeated “additional information required” notices during active payment runs, often multiple times for the same data. This forces last-minute manual work and creates delays for contractors expecting payment. Another difficulty has been the lack of clear in-product guidance when bank requirements change (e.g., Morocco CIH format, updated Philippines regions), requiring extensive testing on our side to troubleshoot issues that could be prevented with clearer validation rules or earlier triggers

**What problems is Trolley solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Trolley helps us centralize and automate payments to contractors in multiple countries. Instead of managing different banking systems for different markets, we are able to process payouts in a single platform, which reduces administrative overhead. The ability to store payee information, track payout status, and maintain a consistent operational workflow helps us support our global team more efficiently. When everything works as expected, Trolley saves us significant time in our accounts-payable process and ensures a clear audit trail aligned with our internal compliance requirements

I really appreciate Justin's speedy responses on Trolley. He is my rock, and I can always count on him to resolve complex issues quickly. It's really valuable for maintaining smooth communication and compliance with my team.

**What do you dislike about Trolley?**

Sometimes I get duplicate correspondences about accounts that have already been flagged to me. Getting an email request for something that was already requested in a duplicate thread the day before is annoying.

Trolley helps resolve compliance flags while keeping communication with my team intact. Justin's speedy responses allow me to resolve complex issues quickly.

Fully automated process, the support team is very responsive.

**What do you dislike about Trolley?**

The number 1 problem is the 'audit' process and understanding what's going on and why something failed an audit(this is not unique to Trolley).  Also, occasionally their 'banking partners' need more information on top of what we provided to Trolley.  Account team seems very small, they seem overwhelmed and we don't have a regular cadence with them.  Reporting is very limited as well.

**What problems is Trolley solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Allowing us to have a fully integrated solution in our portal where end users can submit payment details and see their payment information all in one portal (also the ability to collect tax information and send out 1099's, but we haven't taken advantage of this yet).

**What do you like best about Trolley?**

What used to take hours, sending bank transfers, Wise payments, PayPal payments, now takes minutes/seconds using Trolley to send payments out to our online piano teachers worldwide. The problems we had previously with paying teachers in a wide range of countries are solved through the platform.

**What do you dislike about Trolley?**

The PayPal integration was not as seamless as we had first hoped. The compliance element, although valuable, occasionally seems to go a bit overboard, and recipients that we had been paying without issue for months are occasionally flagged and blocked.

Paying vendors worldwide, in many countries. Saving time. This frees up resources for us to focus on growth, and Trolley really makes things scalable.

I dislike the PayPal integration. It went well for months then suddenly stopped working and Trolley was not able to support as much as we would have liked. We eventually had to suspend this payout method.

One of our main business problems was collecting recipient payment and tax information and now we are able to collect both with ease. It benefits the company by not having to build our own apps that do this and it helps our payment operations flow efficiently.

UI is amazing with everything in detail, customers are directed to right screens when they needs support via the chat option that is available, with such behaviour this brings in confidence on a payments platform that our money is safe.

Customer support can be better for handling situations that require immediate attention as there is money involved most of the times a quick response team needs to be in place to help customers get notified of all engagements/ changes going behind the curtain

Mass movement of multi-tier vendor payments and it helps us confidently vet them before the money is actually put in their account and we trust trolley for the same.

The interface is very nice and overally is a good and simple platform. The fact that we have onboarded people within our finance team and Trolley is an easy to use platform makes it very easy for our team!

**What do you dislike about Trolley?**

I think what we struggle the most is the rejected payments. Dealing with bounced/rejected payments is a bit of a pain as you have to go back and forth with the individual of the account + Trolley. Also the inability to download proof of payments and having to contact Trolley for that is also very annoying. Currently we are facing issues with Indian banks on Trolley which is creating problems as we have a lot of indian residents that we need to pay to...

Sending payments to individuals all around the world plus collecting bank details and storing them in a secure place. Also the fact that Trolley have an interface where they can input details / change them is quite good

- It has helped us simplify our architecture, streamline payouts and bring about a universal experience
- There is a further opportunity for us to grow into the product more and have them solve more problems for us

- API design and & tooling is underdone. Trolley frame that the API is built for developers, but a lot is to be desired regarding engineering best practices and maturity. The design of the API is simple, but we have found it quite limiting to integrate with due to several gaps. 
- Managing tickets (improvements coming)
- The white-labelled experience is a double edge sword. It integrates nicely with our suite of products, but it does mean our internal support teams are on the hook for understanding and managing all the nuances of global payments e.g. delays, requests for information

**What problems is Trolley solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Automating payments across our suite of products. We didn't want to integrate with more payment providers or banks to offer more breadth of choice to our customers. Ideally, we wanted to integrate with 1 x payment provider that could fan out and provide multiple payment options for us. Partnering with Trolley enabled us to simplify our systems architecture and uplift our payout offering simultaneously. WIN WIN.

**What do you like best about Trolley?**

- Very simple to use. 
- Provides good dashboards which we use a lot. 
- Customer service generally very quick and helpful.
- For our size of company so far, it works very well. I like that we are able to Notify recipients that they have not et up their bank account details, straight through the playform.

**What do you dislike about Trolley?**

- We have also had some issues with payouts to certain banks (e.g. in India, and China). 
- Not yet fully integrateble with our accounting software (Xero).
- Sometimes a bit buggy (can often not have two tabs of Trolley open at once when they are processing payments).
- Some manual intervention needed, e.g. not possible to obtain proof of payment from platfrom, instead needed to send email.

- We are using Trolley to pay out 3 batches a day, in 3 different currencies.  We simply upload a batch (CSV), and pay our experts. simple to use. Takes about 10min per day of my time.

Trolley has made it easy for our company to send rebate payments to various domestic and international companies. Additionally, trolley's customer service is quick and phenomenal.

**What do you dislike about Trolley?**

The least helpful is that sometimes our partners don't get the verfication email when I send it out in trolley. I wish there was an easier way for them to login.

We send out rebate payments to our business partners. Trolley helps manage those payments and lets us see whether or not the payment was delivered or rejected.

Trolley enables us to make the high volume of global payments that we need to do easily and securely. The platform is easy for us to use and intuitive for our payees. The customer support team is helpful and quick to respond.

We have had some issues with payments to HDFC bank in India that have required us to pay manually outside of Trolley.

Trolley is quick and easy to use, cost effective and really great customer service and response time.  They are continually making improvements/upgrades to their programming.

You can't pull the funds from your account.  You have to transfer funds in first so there is a delay to when they are added to your account as this is a manual process.

**What do you like best about Trolley?**

The easiness of use. Trolley provides a very well-detailed API documentation and getting started with it just takes 5 minutes to familiarize with the concepts and features of the platform.

**What do you dislike about Trolley?**

There is nothing specifically critical we dislike about Trolley. Maybe something to improve is the tax-collection features, as there is no direct way to get the PDF forms from the user (though Customer Success showed a trick to do such thing).

**Recommendations to others considering Trolley:**

Get in touch with support for a demo. Despite having a "direct" signup option, their support staff is nice and they will provide a very intuitive demo. Also, the Platform Plan is quite affordable regarding the features they provide, so definitely worth taking a look at it.

**What problems is Trolley solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We need to automatically send payments to our users. We allow our customers to monetize mobile applications, and we do receive all money from ad networks, which then we have to re-distribute to our user developers.

**What do you like best about Trolley?**

Payment Rails enables our two-sided marketplace to pay freelancers in nearly every country in the world in just a few days with their local currency. It handles FX and all the headaches involved with taxes. Show me another platform that does that. I don’t think we waited more than 6 hours on any email we sent to the Payment Rails Support team. The quality and speed of support are unlike any other SaaS provider we’ve worked with.

**What do you dislike about Trolley?**

Very few dislikes. The only one worth calling out is the onboarding process takes more time than expected. The integration from a code perspective is simple and easy, but there are a few hoops you need to jump through on the finance/operations side (sign off with escrow banking partner, etc) to get fully setup. These take at least a week.

**What problems is Trolley solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We used to use Stripe Connect for payouts, but now we use Stripe for billing and Payment Rails for payouts. This has been the perfect payments tech stack for us.

**What do you like best about Trolley?**

Automation for tax preparation and filing. As a tax professional in a past life, I know how difficult it is to automate while working around the law and a very rigid and inflexible process. It's truly impressive how the platform was able to do this while allowing their clients like us to remain compliant.

**What do you dislike about Trolley?**

Not necessarily dislike, but even though it is easier to prepare the tax forms with the platform, there is still a lack of integration in the filing part of the process. I know it's difficult, but I wish it was fully integrated with the IRS's electronic filing system to have the full seamless experience.

**What problems is Trolley solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Trolley has enabled our small EdTech start-up to deploy payments to our international students while remaining compliant with US tax laws. It helped how we didn't have to sacrifice manhours or incur additional expenses to be able to realize the full potential of our business model and serve our clients better.

Tax forms for Canadian users. Currently, they provide them for US independent contractors. If they were to add T5018s for Canadian users, it'd be extremely beneficial.

Highly recommend anyone looking for a payment processor to speak with a Trolley rep. They are extremely helpful and quick to reply to any questions one may have.

It's really easy to pay the recipients. I like how you can double-check the total being paid out, this has helped me catch typos in the amount.

As of right now there are not many downsides.

This is very helpful for small teams where employees might have multiple responsibilities. We do a lot of payments because we work with influencers, and this saves us so much time. I would recommend this to those in a similar situation to ours.

We were spend too much time writing checks. We'd have to input it into our previous system, then print the checks, then stuff the envelopes then stamp them. Trolly has made the process so much easier, and we save a lot of time. Time=money.

I love the ease of the site. We currently utilize Trolley to pay out all of our affiliate commissions and everything is so easy to use for our company and others using the application. Trolley has streamlined our 1099 process as well. The entire Trolley team is great at responding to all our needs in a timely fashion and send out notices related to any upcoming bank holidays for us to be aware of ahead of time.

**What do you like best about Trolley?**

Payment Rails has streamlined our process with easy importing and exporting of payable amounts and one-click payments. The email templates are attractive and professional-looking. The dashboard gives us transparency and all the details readily available through an easy interface. The pricing is much better than our old method (working through an accounting firm) and more accessible. We will also send 1099s this way, which is a feature not offered by all online payment services.

**What do you dislike about Trolley?**

You must set aside time, in the beginning, to get your payees onboarded and set up the banks, PayPal, etc. But it is so straightforward that we have had few problems along the way. We still pay some territories using Payoneer (i.e. Ukraine) because the fees are too high for that particular country using PR. Also, the support staff, while very responsive, did not always resolve issues satisfactorily. Sometimes we had better luck figuring things out on our own.

**What problems is Trolley solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We pay all of our contributors on time, using their preferred method. We can log in to see whether the bank rejected any payments. All banking details are handled securely in the system by the payee when they sign up. Everyone gets an email letting them know the payments are on the way. You can set up the payments anytime, and then when ready, just one click to process all of them. We are spending less, and we are paying our people efficiently.

the tax form is difficult to complete by most artists, so a few more explicit directions are needed.

There are a few things missing that if Payment Rails ever have it would become even better and would fully automate our process.

-The ability to schedule transactions for the future
-The ability to receive money from clients in there (this would be great because would make it like one platform that does it all)
-The code for login into the portal sometimes never arrives. It often happens with certain recipients that cant log in or say the code takes ages to arrive
-I have to message them every time I transfer USD because they dont check often that specific account so it is not automatic and requires an extra step
-You cant select different source currencies in the same batch.
-XERO Integration!!

We have tried multiple payment offerings, the ability to quickly onboard all of our vendors, collect tax information and set them up for payments is the big differentiator for Payment Rails. We used to have to use a second system for tax reporting and now all of that is integrated into one platform. We also used the API and linked the system to our accounting platform. Now we simply initiatie payments right from our acocunting system.

I am glad that PR is working on additional forms of payment. Currently, PayPal and Bank transfer are the only options.

We manage a lot of vendors and a lot of payments. The addition of Payment Rails simplified our weekly payments and our annual tax reporting. This has saved us countless hours.

We had students who had returned to their home countries during Spring 2020 when the University went entirely online. Some had earned departmental scholarships and we had no way to get the funds to them. Flywire came to our rescue with Payment Rails. We could send funds to students in their home country without them having made a payment through Flywire.

Like everything else, you have to depend on the student to enter their bank info. We had a student who would not respond to our emails. It took longer to get the funds to him because he was not responsive.
