What do you like best about Payoneer?

The only positive aspect of my experience with Payoneer was one customer support agent who helped me resolve a minor issue. The agent was professional, responsive, and genuinely tried to assist me, which I appreciated. Unfortunately, this was the only good part of my overall experience with the platform. What do you dislike about Payoneer?

My experience with Payoneer was extremely frustrating and disappointing, primarily due to their verification process. I spent a significant amount of time and effort trying to provide the required documentation, yet my documents were repeatedly rejected without any clear or reasonable explanation.

One of the biggest issues was that Payoneer did not accept an official document issued by my bank. The document clearly confirmed that I have an account at the bank and included all necessary details such as my full name, account number, issue date, bank logo, and other relevant information. It fully met the requirements typically requested for verification, yet it was still rejected. I find this very difficult to understand, especially considering that such documents are standard and widely accepted.

Because of these repeated rejections, I had to leave work five separate times and even use my vacation days just to try to obtain alternative documents that might be accepted. This caused me to lose both time and money. Some of the requested requirements appear to be unrealistic or very difficult to fulfill in Bosnia and Herzegovina, which makes the platform unnecessarily complicated for users from certain countries.

In addition, the AI chatbot support is very poor and was not helpful at all during this process. It provided generic responses that did not address my specific situation, which only increased the frustration and wasted even more of my time. Getting meaningful assistance through the chatbot was nearly impossible.

Overall, the verification process felt overly complicated, inconsistent, and not adapted to real-world situations in different countries. Due to these issues, I decided to stop using the platform entirely. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I would not recommend Payoneer to anyone. I have 0 aspects I like about Payoneer Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Payoneer?

I have six open support cases for the same unresolved issues, showing a complete lack of ownership and internal coordination.

A payment made on 9 February is still pending a refund, and support supervisors are now stating it may take up to a further 24 business days.

I was instructed to create a new account due to my original account being created via Fiverr — only to discover the same restrictions still apply.

I cannot fund my account or send business payments unless I reach a $500 threshold, which defeats the purpose of using a payment platform.

My Dutch business bank account is incorrectly classified as a personal account, causing bank transfers to be rejected.

Support response times are slow, inconsistent, and require me to repeatedly explain the same issue from scratch.

I’ve had to spend money on international phone calls for follow-ups that lead nowhere and produce no resolution.

What do you like best about Payoneer?

I use Payoneer to consolidate global earnings, and I love that it allows me to receive multi-currency payments from various companies and marketplaces into one secure account. I appreciate its ability to eliminate high wire fees and solve currency conversion hurdles. The feature that stands out to me is the ability to receive global payments locally and access funds instantly via my Payoneer Mastercard. Converting currencies in Payoneer is very practical for a global freelancer like me, enabling me to manage my funds strategically without requiring multiple bank accounts. It saves on fees with low 0.5% conversion fees, which significantly beats traditional bank markups. Additionally, setting up Payoneer was no problem, and I prefer Payoneer over PayPal. What do you like best about Payoneer?

I like how easy to use the app and desktop versions of Payoneer are. The availability of the Payoneer card in multiple countries is great. The app's intuitive platform allows me to use it without much complication. Setting up my account and submitting documents to withdraw money and request my card was a fairly easy process and has been useful across many jobs. I find the platform very easy to use, particularly when performing identity verification. I also like the accessible and concrete app guides. What do you dislike about Payoneer?

The fees on Payoneer are a bit high. There are platforms with more accessible fees, particularly when it comes to withdrawal costs, exchange rates, and receiving money from other platforms like Deel. I think Payoneer should consider the different price/value of USD in various countries to adjust their rates accordingly, so people in countries where the USD is valued higher don’t lose more money when withdrawing. I have been a Payoneer customer since 2022 (Customer ID: 92519305). On October 19th 2025, Amazon sent me a payout of £387.93. Because my Payoneer account was closed a month earlier, the payment was rejected and supposedly “returned to Amazon”. Since then it’s been a nightmare: Payoneer says “we successfully returned the money to Amazon” (they even gave me chat reference 251012-002764). Amazon says “we never received anything back, the money is still with Payoneer/Deutsche Bank”. 50+ days, dozens of emails, screenshots shared, and still the £387.93 is in limbo. Both companies keep blaming each other and giving copy-paste replies. No escalation works, no one provides proof of transfer. This is not “a processing delay” – this is complete incompetence and zero accountability. I now have to waste more time complaining to FCA and Financial Ombudsman. Payoneer used to be reliable, but right now their customer service is useless when something actually goes wrong. Avoid if you can’t afford to lose money in their system forever. What do you like best about Payoneer?

I really appreciate Payoneer's fee structure and the speed at which they process transactions. Once a payment is initiated, it only takes a couple of days for the money to be settled in the local bank account, and the whole process is seamless. I love how smooth it all is. The competitive low fees and quick turnaround time for settling payments are fantastic, especially when compared to other payment methods like wire transfers, which usually incur higher fees and longer processing times. Additionally, the transparent currency conversion and fee make financial planning clearer, and I find the customer support quite responsive and effective. Whenever I've had issues, they were resolved promptly. This efficient processing time is crucial for any business, ensuring that operations aren't delayed due to financial bottlenecks. I think Payoneer could reduce their fees further to make their service even more competitive. Currently, they primarily collect payments from business users rather than individuals, and there's extra scrutiny when collecting payments from non-business users. Their product Payoneer Checkout is only available to limited users. It would be great if it is expanded to more users.
