I like the possibility to obtain customized reports. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I do not think the invoice approval is efficient. There should be a hard stop for law firms to include pdf invoices when they publish invoices, Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Complete solution, but still really easy to use. Accept both LEDES files and most other formats (PDF, Excel, CSV) for all submition process. Have great reporting engine. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Rely too much on lawyer for some tasks and send them unnecessraries email. For Big Law Firm, most of the lawyer won't use ELM portal, they have no interest of learning that. Plus, I doubt that client wants to be charge 1000$/hre for a partner that try to use their ELM... Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It is fast, the dashboard at home page contains relevant and timely information, the search capacity is fast and reliable. Reporting runs in a few seconds Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Sometimes it is difficult to create new matters when it is a new vendor, contrary to copy old matters Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Clear view of the budget with sufficient details on the narratives. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The invoice cannot be viewed online, rather they have to be downloaded each time for review. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It's webbased, no need for installation of additional software, extremely intuitive. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
We had some issues with implementing flat fee billing. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The best thing about Legal Tracker is that it is very user-friendly with a very intuitive interface. The Learning Center is also very helpful when you run into questions! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
One particular feature that I find to be unhelpful for our needs but cannot turn off is the "Substantive Law" field in the matter templates. We don't want to use it and find the list to not necessarily include the things we need, but we cannot remove the field. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It's a great tool for billing needs and communication with outside counsel and firms. Great tool for audits and reporting Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I would like it to be more user friendly and to be able to use it for closer follow up of open matters that need weekly attention. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I will begin with the first feature Legal Tracker has that no other electronic billing system has; that is the ability to create your own reports in report builder. It is also nice to be able to upload multiple invoices at a time if your law firm does not have an electronic billing platform such as BillBlast or eBilling Hub. Legal Tracker is my favorite electronic billing site out of the many I deal with. Because I deal with some of the worst, I really cannot think of a negative to Legal Tracker. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The level of customizability is great. We have a very robust matter tracking and financial tracking system for our Litigation department. We were able to add almost all of the fields that we had in our previous system. We did have to find work-arounds for some fields that were missing, but overall we were able to utilize it to be pretty functional and analytical with our data. The analytical data we've been able to pull has helped us greatly in reviewing our financial spend on a firm by firm basis. The ability to have the system review invoices for various criteria and flag it or take specific actions is another great feature. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There are some limitations to the customizability of the platform. The profile page of the individual matters is not very dynamic and reads top to bottom with flat information. It makes viewing the data in a quick look a bit less fluid. The product engineers have leaned all of their power into a dynamic reporting system to make up for this lack of fluidity in the data. So you have to run a report to pull dynamic data instead of having a dynamic GUI. The GUI in various parts of the system operates differently and is customizable in differing ways. So for instance, the ability to move working parts in the matter list does not use the same functionality as the Matter AP Code Review. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The ease of invoice and rate submissions is far superior to the majority of other e-billing systems I've used over the past 15+ years in e-billing. The customizable reporting feature is also a definite plus. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I would like to see better search filters on the invoice status pages. A search function in the billing matter listing would be extremely helpful as this is where matter mapping/reconciliation occurs. It can be extremely cumbersome to search through multiple pages when there are very large numbers of matters on the site for a particular client. An ability to reconcile matters on the matter tab rather than the billing tab or the matter screen accessed when using the site search function could also solve this issue. Some human or eHub error correction options that don't require client intervention would also be beneficial. The ability to attach expense documentation or recall invoices submitted by eHub before the client begins the review process on their side would be a time and effort saver for both vendor and client.
