What do you like best about TheraNest?

Our counselors like it very much. The clinical side is very intuitive. I like the look of the calendar that shows me, as the manager, all counselors' schedules for the day. It is so helpful that the company charges based on active clients and not users. It's also a tremendous blessing that they offer an excellent non-profit discount. What do you dislike about TheraNest?

Reporting is lacking. We've used it since 2018, and I still can't sort reports by different therapists. It would be helpful to have more customization for reports. The accounting piece for the administrative side of our practice has been the biggest thorn in our side. We had a conversation with TheraNest in 2018 after we realized that reconciling the accounting was a nightmare. We asked if they had consulted an accountant or financial person when designing this part of the software... and the answer was... no. Customer service was also a considerable downside in the beginning. It's improved somewhat over the years. The problem is that it was tough to talk to someone who could help. Customers are pretty much stuck with using the bot chat option. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about TheraNest?

The format is simple and easy to find all information in one place. Very easy to create and send super bills or other billing statements. Easier to use than some of the more complicated platforms Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about TheraNest?

There are some functions that just aren't available in Theranest that are necessary in more complex practices. Booking therapy sessions with multiple therapists or scheduling group appointments are tricky and the reason we switched to another provider Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about TheraNest?

What do you dislike about TheraNest?

Can't modify any of the forms, the telehealth platform was horrible- if always froze and you can't share a screen. The app is not very functional Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about TheraNest?

the calendar is easy to schedule, the app on your phone makes it easy to access, the text reminders, ability to text with patients for quick answers Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about TheraNest?

The cost is outrageous. I don't like that we are nickel and dimed for every service. Charging us per text is ridiculous.

It would be great if there was a cost benefit for adding on services such as text, therapy notes, calendar, billing, etc.

We would switch to something more economical if switching wasn't such a huge hassle.

Today Theranest was out most of the day. The secretaries can't access calendars to schedule and therapists couldn't take notes. This happens more often than it should. Typically it is out for a short time instead of most of the day. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about TheraNest?

I really like that nearly everything I want for my private practice is in one location. A client portal, billing, invoicing, scheduling, intake paperwork, and an easy connection to create a video link are all there. Customer service is great. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about TheraNest?

This application helps us schedule and complete documentation all in one place. There are also a lot of trainings that help new staff learn and practice the features. Application is available on web or app form. Support staff answer quickly and are very helpful. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about TheraNest?

The app version and the web version do not provide the same functionality. Calendar is limited in functionality and really only works for actual client appointments, not putting in other events and differentiating between the two. What do you like best about TheraNest?

I love being able to access theranest on the go, using the app on my phone. It is so helpful to have the ability to modify appointments "on the go" as I receive emails and calls from patients when I am away from the office or computer. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about TheraNest?

I love scheduling appointments on the phone app; I find it cumbersome on the computer platform. I share theranest with others from our practice and it is frustrating that if there is a shared patient (I treat the couple, another therapist sees the individual), I see the billing and upcoming appointments for the individual on my client screen as well. What do you like best about TheraNest?

TheraNest has excellent customer support and is available in a timely manner. They have an extensive database of user-friendly, quick-read articles to address an array of support topics, and I have never waited a full 24hrs to get a response on any question I may have that is not explicitly addressed in the database. What do you dislike about TheraNest?

I do wish that scheduling across time zones was easier/reflected the accurate time zone for viewing location; however when I addressed this to the support team, they replied that it was already in the works for the next update! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

-customisable price point for smaller practices

-sends clients reminder email at no added charge

-reasonable service for organizing client information and billing

-just started offering prospective client feature at no added cost

What do you dislike about TheraNest?

-Customer service is a flop and I've stopped recommending bc of it; it was amazing 2 years ago; not helpful and always a delay in getting a response and the response usually doesn't take into account what you actually said the issue was. So you wait 1-4 days for a response, that does not reflect they actually read and understood the issue, then you don't have time to deal with it immediately, and then they try to close it out right away. It's a disaster.

-problems with ease of getting legal electronic signatures for client and if you ever need something signed, for example, by a parent of the client who pays but is not the client. Nearly 2 years into a pandemic, you would think that getting clear legal signatures that could hold up legally would be a top priority.

-problems with the invoices reflecting what someone was charged vs what they actually paid when creating invoices for out of network benefits. Subjects provider to accusations of fraud if it is seen as misrepresenting what the client actually paid.

-there is no way to connect client messaging with the chart; in fact you can't even copy and paste items sent or received

-when typing on notes in the app on an Ipad, you can't work within the text boxes to enlarge them Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
